LINK

OP use that link instead. Yours just took me to the Nola homepage

ETA: Andrew Hatch is still the most wtf LSU QB to me. Bizarre that he ended up here and played.. but god that was a miserable season.

For me the QB Issues started with Ryan Perrilloux’s dismissal causing the chain reaction of messing up the lag time of breaking in a new QB from a seasoned guy.

Danny Etling:
"His 191.1 yards per game passing average is the third in school history behind only Tommy Hodson and Josh Booty."

I would have never thought that.

Hayden Rettig (2013)

Retting was a former U.S. Army All-American who only spent one season at LSU before transferring out. He found his way to Rutgers but still never got the playing time he desired. In three seasons with Rutgers, Rettig threw for 233 yards in five games in 2015 before sitting all of 2016. He transferred to Tennessee Tech with one more season of eligibility remaining but was ultimately beat out for the job by Andre Sale, who left Tennessee Tech after last season to walk-on at LSU.

And with that, the LSU quarterback position has come full circle. Tennessee Tech's "quarterback Sale" brings to Baton Rouge atonement for past recruiting misses.

The LSU commit out of HS was beaten out at Tenn Tech by LSU's current 3rd string quarterback.

This is the sign we have been waiting for marking the end of our days of being cursed at the quarterback position.

more surprising is that Josh Booty is in that top 3 never would have guessed him. This article just shows how horrible we have been at developing QB's after 2007 except for Etling and Mettenberger. Yes I know Mettenberger was groomed somewhere else.

Rate the top 5 HS signees based on their LSU careers:

1 JR
2 MF
3 Marcus Randall
4 Jordan Jefferson
5 Jarrett Lee

I'd put RP sixth

Except for the top two, not much to brag about. Geez.

This is pretty common amongst top tier schools. For example, UF has signed 15 QBs since Tim Tebow left. 10 of those 15 have transferred since then.

I still think we wasted Harris by running an offense that he had no business running.

Les and Cam screwed with his mind. Believe it or not, he was not the same QB after his freshman season.

Harris just wasn't that good. He hit s few big plays against State his freshman season and fooled us all.
