Velo a little down for Skenes today. It’s hotter than hell today so maybe that’s why. Still battling despite not having his best stuff

Just struck out 4,5,6 in order for 9 total Ks after 6. 102 pitches so may be done??

He’s done. Another no decision thanks the the Pirates’ anemic offense behind him.

The guy is insanely talented. He’s visibly annoyed, frustrated with his location and just struck out the side to end his outing against one of the best lineups in MLB. So impressive

Skenes pitching line 6 in. 6 hits. 1 earned with 8-10 K’s is like clockwork

Skeenes has had some of the best run support ever for a rookie.

I don't know what it is, but Skenes has never hit 100mph while pitching in the state of Georgia. He hit 99 a few times today, but topped out last year Athens at 99. Bizarre stat. It is humid as fuq today for Georgia.

This is not to take anything away from Skenes.

The Braves are a middle of the pack offense MLB. Just above midpoint for the most part.

Pirates were up against one the best pitchers in baseball today. He doesn’t give up many runs

Perhaps, but not lately at all. I believe they’ve given him one run per game each of his last three starts.

I’m trying to follow on ESPN’s gamecast. Pitt scored on a wild pitch but the run was then taken off. Was it a review of a play at the plate?

I’m not seeing it on the ESPN schedule. MLB is missing a prime opportunity of attracting new fans by not televising every Pirates game Skenes pitches in.

The MLB marketing is piss poor.

I have no idea how hard MLB is trying on this front, I do know baseball is regional - or more to the point - folks follow their favorite teams and virtually nothing else.

If MLB put the best marking guy in the Universe on this I don't know how much he could change this,

We care about Skeenes and Nola cause we are LSU folks, not because we love all MLB baseball.

But to your point I'm listening to ESPN radio this morning and all they are talking about is NBA basketball - Bron and Bronny. I could GAF, but they are doing that because it gets clicks and interest and discourse. If they spend a segment on Skeenes and Nola it would not get as much - and if they did 10 straight segments it would not get as much. I don't like it but that's the reality and that's why they are talking about Bronny instead.

Downvote all you want but it is the truth. Most on here are too young to understand that because they were born decades after cable where their parents were influenced. I lived it there and watch it happen

I'm sure people downvote because you are a consistent moron. For somebody as old as you are, you post like a immature 12 year old girl.

Well, specifically for us, the Astros are regionally our team. It's extremely difficult to watch them.

I understand not everyone will watch anyone but "their" team. But my point was, I'd rather watch anybody play a MLB game over whatever ESPN has on TV right now. They also make it difficult to watch "your" team. Hard to grow the game that way. I'd love to watch more MLB. It's just not easy.

I get the extra innings package each year, and can watch 99% of the mlb games. I watch all the Phillies games, and flip around when others are on.

It only costs 2 payments of $125 each. That's for almost every game.

. Did you even read the post you fricking a-hole? Really read the post?
NOPE AND NEITHER DID ANYONE THAT DOWNVOTED. The downvotes should have been for the idiot proclaiming something that was factually inaccurate and intellectually dishonest.

That comment was to a person that claimed that the Braves were a top offense in MLB. They have a sub .500 record and sit at about 14, with some categories much lower.
I said they were middle of the pack and considering 15 is the very definition of “middle of the pack.” People may think I’m saying something negative about Skenes, I am not. I’m saying that don’t make up shite to make it seem like someone did something they did not.
So frick off dumbass.
