Despite all the other issues currently going on, we’re now at war over the decision of one of our own declaring for the draft.

There is this weird culture of whining over every little thing, instead of picking up your pieces, working with what you got and moving on.

Is this our new low? How much further we going?

If we had a good coaching staff, we'd be in the playoffs not worrying about players sitting out.

You don't see any sitting out problems from Bama, Clemson, Okla, and ND .

Please provide a list of players sitting out playing in these "meaningless" bowl games.

If now the players and fans view these NY6 bowl games as meaningless then it’s time to do away with the bowls all together. Have the 4 team playoff and see ya next year

You saw it at Ohio State this year.

I personally think it is despicable.

Major Applewhite agrees with me. We all saw the sideline incident with him and his DT sitting out.

What the fans bitch about has absolutely zero effect on why this program continues to go in circles.

War or message board banter? Pretty different

This has nothing to do with coaching staff. This was a player’s decision and that player only. I am sure the coaches were surprised by that decision, no matter how greedy or self-centered it may be.

It is the inevitably toxic social media/sports message board anonymous culture that provides a forum for every soap box and counter soap box crank and whiner, ad infinitum.

I’m looking forward to another LSU Texas A&M game in the Fiesta Bowl because the defense didn’t show up for the Texas A&M game and now they’re REALLY not showing up…… LOL

Off the top of my head:
Bosa (OSU), Rashan Gary(Mich), Ed Oliver(Houston), Greedy(LSU), Noah Fant(Iowa)...

I'll update the list as more make the announcement.

A&M had less than 300 yds in regulation, our defense scored the game tying TD and if for some really bad luck caused the game winning turnover but yet you say they didn’t show up?

I loved the bowl system, but I think you're right.

But instead of 4, go ahead and expand it. There's over 100 teams, may as well give more than 4 a reason to play. Instead of waiting til New Year's, start in mid December or so.

Lol yeah that’s it. Not the constant hiring for and firing of OCs and changing directions ever Wednesday. It’s because in a 3 year period we had a RB miss a Citrus bowl vs Louisiville and a CB miss a bowl vs Central Florida.

Well, we’re playing UCF. Sure, it’ll be fun to watch, but are you really up for it?

I really don’t understand how people don’t learn from the past. This UCF team hasn’t lost in 25 games! They beat an Auburn team last year in a NY6 bowl and Auburn had beaten the #1 team twice last season. This “new” QB that UCF threw for 378 yards and 3 td’s and ran for 4 more last week.
I can’t believe that our fans don’t see them as a quality opponent and deserving of the Fiesta Bowl.
I was very excited that LSU got a bid to a NY6 game. I was afraid that we had squandered that opportunity after the aggy loss. For years we have been stuck playing in crappy Florida bowls or the damn Valero Texas Bowl, and our fans are not happy.
I will admit that I am not as excited now as I was yesterday because apparently this game is meaningless and just an exhibition game in not only our fans eyes but also our players. So it has really tempered the excitement that I initially had.

Every fanbase is this way unless your winning the NC every year even then they'll find a way to be upset.

The reason our program feels a bit bland is because we started strong and ended on a weak note. If you say you feel any better about the offense now than you did when CLM was here, you'd be lying.

Plus who the frick cares about this UCF game. Most underwhelming Jan 1 bowl that could've been given to us. Nothing to gain everything to lose from this.

Least ND was a more known commodity.

Anyhow it's Basketball season and we have a squad so frick this NYD game.

So all of the LSU fans should have quit on the team after Bama? Only players’ families should have supported the team at Arkansas? Home game vs Rice should have had about 14,000 in attendance? I guess no LSU fan should go to Arizona and support the team. I mean, it’s not for a national championship, right?
