No news, rumors, ideas, "inside reports" about Basketball coach search?

Doesn't seem like much action. Is Aleva being that discreet or is there just very little interest in this search, this time around?

Your post seems to assume Alleva is actively searching for a coach. That's not a safe assumption.

There's no highly sought coaches leaking to the media that an LSU deal is in place so they can force the hand of their dream school, because they would get laughed at by their dream school

The silence by the administration, those on the inside, and us as fans clamoring for tid bits of information speaks volumes as to how much we all have become apathetic toward the basketball program in general.

Geez...patience is a virtue, people. There is a pretty good chance that anyone worth giving time to is participating in a tournament somewhere right now and would prefer that their interest be kept quiet.
Missouri jumped out there and made a mediocre hire, at best, but at least Cuonzo Martin isn't on our radar anymore. Let it play out.

Hopefully we're going after someone who has a team in the tourney. If so, we've witnessed how publishing this type of information prematurely can backfire (i.e., Miles to Michigan...). What a distraction it would be if the team went on a run.

If target is NCAA tourney team, it should ratchet up next week as those teams get eliminated.

I have a strong feeling Kermit Davis will get the job. Apparently a lot of people are pushing him on aleva and we all know how that goes.

Coaching candidates are busy preparing their teams for the tourney. Not much to talk about until their team loses. Some back channel talk with agents is about it at this point.

Alleva is waiting for the final four to be over. He will offer two of those coaches. After they say no to 1.5 million a year, he will hire the Southeastern coach who is getting a binder together right now.
