For the first time since Week 11 2018, The LSU Football twitter account did not post a hype video ahead of the game. This is evidence that things are moving in the right direction. Maybe they saw my last post?

This is unlike last year, where they would shell out boring hype videos narrated by celebrities simply repeating dumb platitudes non-stop on a weekly basis, regardless of the opponent and our record. Hopefully this trend continues - there should be max 5 hype videos per year reserved for our biggest games/rivals. And for the love of God, no boring narrators with slow motivational music in the background. Literally no one gets excited for that. Only rap music and highlights. Thank you.

How do you know it’s not still coming? The first one this year was on gameday last week.

They had two last week, but historically it has always been on Thursday. But maybe they will. Hopefully not. Should be reserved for Florida, Auburn, Bama, A&M, and maybe a bowl game. But shelling one out every week dulls the excitement of it.

i can definitely relate to the last 2 years' hype videos. they all seemed completely tone deaf and were nowhere near the past years quality. like...read the room. but i'll admit, in 2019, i could have eaten those hype videos for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and second dinner; they were that good.

No they didn’t have 2. One was a recruiting video. The official hype video for the game was on gameday.

Well damn, hopefully they decide not to post one. They are always incredibly boring and tone deaf

Yeah, I wouldn't want to hype up another game where you may possibly end up getting embarrassed in too

In your mind just play the last 15, they are all the same. Some monotone talking from a past LSU celeb/athlete. Thane some dramatic up temp music to end, fading into the Geaux font in black and white......sometimes you can add the LSU chant in there somewhere.

Bring back Bonstonker or that cat that we lost to USC

I think they need to do away with the narrators, it’s starting to get cheesy. Anthony Mackie for the national championship one was the only epic narrator

Amen. Speaking of LSU greatness trying to hype a team with a losing record over the last two years rings hollow.

I think after the first game a hype video would be extremely difficult and completely ok with reserving the next one for the first SEC game.
I stopped watching hype videos after the 2019 season and COVID struck. After that I wanted to see evidence of a reason for hype because it’s not gonna happen for me right now superficially.
