Something I don't understand. If your excuse is not getting hurt, why have there never been any players to miss playoff games, or the national championship game?? No, the reason is the bowl game is not important enough. Well, that can be debated. However, quit making this a "getting injured" excuse. Claearly it isn't!!

It’s both. Get over yourself. Greedy doesn’t owe you shite.

It's a buisness decision. Move on with your life. He was a great player and left everything he had on the field for LSU

More live reps in a big game atmosphere for players who will be on the team next year is important too

I don’t understand why fans can’t accept that these players are trying to play at the next level and it’s a business decision to them. College football of the 1980’s is long gone.

Do you really need that answered

Also might want to ask Jaylon Smith about it not being about injuries

Has this come out as absolute fact yet? Or are you just taking this and running with it from a thread you read on the rant?

Not having Greedy against shitty quarterbacks like Shea Patterson or UCF's backup won't matter.

He has been working his entire life to go to the NFL - not to play in the Peach bowl.

Look at Jalyn Smith. He lost millions.

What is our manager saying?

More Dollar General stuff?

In my honest opinion, and Greedy is not hurt, those players who opt out for their own NFL stock, the players do not have a loyalty to the program and the HC.

Mr. Orgeron needs to explain this development, IF GREEDY IS OPTING OUT OF BOWL FOR HIS OWN GAIN.

When a university awards an education and all the benefits of developing a player, they should play to the end.

As I look across the NCAA, it seems our key players are more apt to do this than say....Alabama, Georgia, Florida, etc.

WHY???!!!???

I’ll reserve judgement on all players until I see what Devin White is gonna do. Some are not like others.

IF..... I were the best player coming out of college AND money was my motive I would NOT play in a bowl game. This is the attitude of 99.9% of all college players anyway. They just want the money..... Greedy will not play in a meaningless bowl game - period! Check out his name. Enough said. Great player for LSU in his 3 years on the team. Geaux play in the NFL and make your millions. I'm good w that.

BTW: That b.s. pass interference call in AtM was exactly that. You did well.....

Greedy is a great Tiger and played his heart out for LSU. He will be the first CB taken in the draft. We are not in the playoffs. Get off his back.

Exactly. On messageboards a lot of folks are completely incapable of nuanced thought.

It’s funny to see people rip a kid for doing what he thinks is best for him, when no one on here has ever been in the same position as he is. He will always love LSU, relax I love Greedy and wish him well, even if he decides not to play in an essentially meaningless game to him.

The end goal for most of these kids is win a Natty or go get that money.

Playing in this bowl game doesn't help achieve either goal.

Can't say I blame him for his decision. Have a feeling as this becomes more common the push for a 16 or 32 team tournament will come to fruition. Maybe even two 16 or 32 team tournament with fans splitting into two divisions.

Good to know you support quitting on your teammates. Lovely values you are going to be giving your children.
