Normally I agree with you that one example is not enough. Except in this instance, one example suffices. There are others though.
IMO it's not a matter pf how many people play and dont get injured vs. how many play and do get injured. It's a risk/reward analysis.
Does the risk of getting injured in a meaningless game outweigh the potential reward of a top 5 draft pick?
