And before the Bama game would be the perfect time. The most decorated D-Lineman in the history of the program and one of the most decorated in CFB history.

I don't think any number should be retired, just have some kind of recognition i.e. ring of honor.

Big time upvote.

Still pissed at Chaz Ramsey (I think that was his name) of Auburn for that cheap shot.

72 should be retired.

Glenn Dorsey should absolutely have his name up there.

2-time All-American 1st team. Won every individual defensive award imaginable his senior season. Won SEC and national titles.

Stayed for his senior season. He was going to be a 1st-round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft before an injury during his junior season. Pretty sure he's an LSU grad. Homegrown guy from right down the road. Lengthy NFL career. He checks every box.

Dorsey recovered a fumble on his first ever snap as an LSU Tiger.

Put him up there.

Dorsey is awesome. Retiring numbers is not. No.

And before the Bama game would be the perfect time to bring back Rohan Davey and Josh Reed to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of Reed's 19 catches and 293 yards and Rohan's 528 yards passing against Bama in LSU's 2001 victory against them.

What Chaz Ramsey did was not against the rules. It's what Ryan Pugh, the guard, did that made it illegal. Later in the same season, Pugh did it again to Phillip Merling, Clemson DE, in the Peach Bowl

Chad Lavalais was better than Dorsey. He just didn't have the hype that Dorsey did.

I've never seen Bama so helpless to stop someone as they were that night in Bryant Denny. As if what Reed did wasn't bad enough, Rohan threw for the most yards a Bama team had ever given up.

Add to it a 4-year player who won a National Championship.

Dorsey wasn't just great, but he brought the crowd into games much the way Rickey Jackson used to for the Saints. On an important third and one you could expect both of these players to get the crowd into it...and then perform
