I'm rooting for the Cajuns, personally. LSU winning anything in the NIT means nothing to me, and I believe for the first time since the disappointing Simmons year that next year will be the beginning of a great run.

Plus, it's my school and you have to root for your school and all.

If it were football, that would be completely different. LSU losing to USL would signify a catastrophe in coaching and management, something LSU should never sink to.

To you sure, but you do realize that this team wants to win as much as possible especially after last season.

Normally I absolutely agree with this. However, in the current stage of WW building the program, I think having a successful run in the NIT will significantly affect both the psyche of the current squad, most importantly those returning next year, and future recruits in the next couple of years who might be on the fence.

In addition to all you said, if you feel like Will Wade is a good coach and can develop the players (which I do), every game provides more practices, game planning, teaching, and live action opportunities to further the development of the players.

For the young guys especially every additional game is one game closer to the light coming on.

I disagree. Next year's recruits are definitely in the bag, and the returning guys will be completely energized by the new players. I expect that to continue as long as Wade is coach. I think the energy he's created goes way beyond this one game, and LSU hasn't been consistent enough to go deep into any tournament this season.

Plus, in basketball, LSU will have to get a lot of out-of-state talent to stay relevant. I don't think losing to UL would really matter all that much. Anyway, this might be UL's last chance to beat LSU for a loooong time, if Wade pans out.

Also curious why your people were so adamant about the white unis... F

Don’t know what you mean by “your people”. My connection is through my husband who’s an ex player from ancient times! This gives us a certain amount of access to the program.

As to the white uni’s, I don’t know the decision details. I got an email saying “gold is not an option, unfortunately”. Makes it sound like they would’ve, if they could’ve. Dunno.
Disappointed, the gold looks better by far.

Let’s get the win tonight

He's in sweats on the sideline... That's a big loss.
