Well your right actually that that’s not actually what they said .. my bad … they found the ncaa in violation of the Sherman act for prohibiting educational benefits paid for such as graduate school ….. I’m guessing it was narrowed to educational benefits since that was before the court …. I believe though I could be wrong though the ncaa fears or just flat out knows if
They restrict nil the players challenge they will lose in court again

So many people are so slow to come around to this thing. I and many others saw it the day these things were passed. It’s been over, there is no going back.

The one time transfer immediate eligibility rule is not as bad as many seem to think and a lot of what you're seeing, in terms of numbers has more to do with the newness of the rule. All of this will settle out over the next couple of years.

Some believe this, and it may be correct. I disagree though.

I think the opposite is going to occur. I think it will become a routine thing that grows more and more to the point that roster management is a very difficult thing for coaches. Also, fans will lose interest.

There will have to be restrictions to protect the game or the game dies.

So, the rule now is "One Time Transfer"? What's to stop that from changing to "Unlimited Transfer"?

That's just not true.

Have to disagree. Ask any rookie in the NFL how much faster and more physical the game is as opposed to college. Throwing a kid in 3 months out of high school would be criminal.

It is one time immediate eligibility. What stops it from becoming unlimited? I assume good sense on the part of the rules committee. The one time rule makes sense to me.

The grad transfer rule is just as ridiculous if you really look at the specifics of it. A grad student can transfer with immediate eligibility but only if the university he is transferring to offers a program his university does not. THe result now is virtually every P5 university and many G5s have a few graduate programs that are designed to be a unique degree only obtainable at that particular university.

The one Burrow took was all online classes

I have no problems with either. LSU just needs to learn to play the game better if it is an issue outside of years with major upheaval due to a coaching change. If your concern is strictly based on this year at LSU, take a deep breath and lets see what next year brings, or even the rest of this year.

The NFL is a different animal. There is no 18 yr old kid on earth ready to go from HS ball to the NFL.

Maybe those kids will finally learn that. Either go immediately, or play 3 years and you are not allowed to "opt out".

I get that from the legal perspective. Shut down in my situation is to place enough restrictions on it to make it equal ie payouts, caps, etc or pay them a salary ie make them employees with contracts. It becomes a privatized in that sense like every other university employee except with a cap per school. For example, if you choose to go to any college the max you can make for a P5 is a total of 100K above scholarship costs. By signing that contract, you sign over your right to NIL and all other rules apply.
