He is really high on this QB coming in. I think he is done with football after this QB moves on. He will then move into broadcasting with ESPN post career.

And that's fine. But until Hurts and Tua came along he never had QBs doing things like they could. Can he still coach at a high level???? No doubt, but I think it's all the other things that he is just tired of. Again the pressure to keep Bama at the top every year after the run he has had has to be huge on him. Plus there are gonna be players that may not come to bama now because of how long they think he will be there. You want pressure???????? Just think of the guy that has to follow Saban once he leaves.

Saban is done. This year will be his last......

He is clearly burned out, mostly dealing with the Crazy BAMA fans expectations. He wants one more title, but doubt he coaches more than 2 or 3 more seasons in any event. I don't believe he gets it his year, maybe next year if the freshman phenom QB is all he is cracked up tpofreshman yer until the second half of the title game. He may not catch lightning in a bottle again.

Saban loves to bitch and moan about everything that doesn't go his way. And he doesn't even smile when everything IS going his way. That's his personality. He will retire when the undertaker gets him; and the undertaker is the only one who could put a smile on his face.

Nick Saban: “Well he basically kicked our arse. I looked befuddled because I was befuddled. My players saw that, just like in our championship loss to Clemson. When things don’t go my way and the officials don’t give us big breaks, like they usually do, I do get kinda pissed. But yes, Burrow and company kicked our asses.”

I mean, he’s admitting it. Not much more anyone can say.

His statement about the refs speaks volumes...... again this will all catch up to him after this years 9-3 season and he will walk away. I know he would rather go out on top, but I don’t think this upcoming season for Bama will be what some think.

Lane Kiffen had a few stories about Saban, one was that they went fishing one time & Saban spent the whole time on the water going over his roster, evaluating this player or that one. As of that period in time, Saban had only been in his pool one time, for no more than 30 minutes, playing with a grand child. Only time be takes his boat /jet skies out are when there are recruits/ players involved . Kiffen said that Saban has no way to relax & take it easy. Said he never went fishing with him again, too stressful.

I don't know why you seem so upset (the use of so many question marks makes me think that). I have been following the Tigers and football since 1958. My comment was in reference to Nick Saban's personality and had nothing to do with football per se. And yes, i have a doctorate in evaluating personality and cognition, but I admit this was a curb-side evaluation.
Hope you have some question marks left (LOL).

You can have all degrees that you want. I follow LIFE in its purest form. I know people that know Saban and his wife. For her it’s no fun anymore. I can understand how being a coach can take over your life, but when things start to falter it can make you think you just don’t have it anymore. Saban won’t pull a bear bryant and coach till he dies.... I am telling you that if things don’t go his way this upcoming season he will walk away.

This after they got bailed out by the personal foul on Vadal which likely prevented a game winning TD and allowed them to save timeouts and drive for a tying field goal

I will take to the grave my hatred for SEC refs for fricking this sequence up so badly. I'm not much for conspiracies but you either let 'em play or not. As long as there's consistency, I'm good. This blew that idea out of the water. Insert yourself into the game when LSU has the ball, let 'em play when Bama has it. fricked up.

There was so much wrong in the last few minutes after LSU recovered the fumble.

!) BAMA was yanking on Vadal's leg and trying to goad him. While he should have just ignored it the shove was similar to inconsequential things which happen all game long and the refs just step in and separate them without a flag.

@) This penalty stopped the clock and saved BAMA from using the first of three timeouts.

3) It limited LSU to just playing for a FG when its possible they could have scored from inside the five.

$) On third and long from about the 40 BAMA had a questionable completion on a sliding catch to about the 20 yard line to set up the tying FG. The call may have been correct, but there was no replay which should have been automatic.

$) On the first play in overtime BAMA lined up in an illegal formation and completed a tackle eligible pass to the 1 yard line. Incredibly they were flagged for a personal foul which moved the ball back to the 16. Had they flagged both violations I don't think the play to the 1 yard line stands and then the personal foul would have moved them back to the 45 yard line. It would be a rare situation where two penalties are assessed on the same play.

6) A couple plays later BAMA ran the offensive interference rub play for a TD

7) trailing and going for the tying score Travin Dural was wide open on a slant in the middle of the field and would have scored.. He was grabbed by the trailing defensive back and no call .

Seven crucial officiating decisions all decided in favor of BAMA. Conspiracy or not something was rotten that night.

This is distressing, if PJ is predicting Saban walks next year, guarantee he coaches for another decade

Well by the reactions on this board, especially after a loss in any sport many on this board would disagree.

In the final analysis, you are correct, and there are more pressing issues in life. But we suspend those truisms when addressing LSU sports on this board.
