Stop defending BK like we should have any hope in him. Marcus freeman has Notre Dame farther than BK ever did, why should we expect he can do anything here?
He literally has ND exactly where BK has already been

He’s one of the winningest coaches in CFB history. Keep on hatin, playa!

Yet he has no national titles…who cares about winning 10 games if you can’t even put yourself in the playoffs?

Nick Brossette is a gentleman with impeccable morals. He will find a better position and be successful in life...I have no doubt about this!

So who fired him?
Brian Kelly terminated him
HR actually fired him and let him know. HR doesn’t need BK or anyone else in the room to fire someone.

That’s not what happened at all.
He got a text to meet with “someone” at 10:30am. He goes to meet that person & they are there with an HR rep.
That’s the person who fired him, not BK

Can’t be the winningest active coach in college football and be bad. Stupid take.

You moved the goal posts but yet are still wrong. He has 2 national championships at Grand Valley State.
My guess is you’ll say “it was Div II so that doesn’t count.”
It does count, it shows he knows how to win and to win championships. He also built up some pretty good programs before he got here.
You wanna try again on how he isn’t a good coach or just finally admit you don’t like him and it clouds your overall judgement of him?

Wrong. He has 2 in which he had to navigate a playoff to win it all. Stop being a dipshit, it’s unbecoming. If you’re gonna be a jackass, At least get your facts straight.

It was explained to him that they were no longer in need of his services and he would no longer be on staff. Nick asked if it was due to performance issues but was never offered a justification for the termination. I can say that the termination was not due to any rule infractions or behavior issues just that they were cutting down administrative staff numbers.
Nothing about this seems unreasonable. I have always thought they have too many analysts/other random admin. shite happens in life.

Yes nothing unreasonable. These were positions basically for young former players to get their feet wet in athletics. Unfortunately for the athletic department, they need to find 20 mil or so to pay players. So you are going to see lots of these little positions go away, plus many other things. So maybe it’s 2 to 3 guys in football. Maybe one less spot in men’s basketball, Maybe 5 or 6 others in different sports. Sure that maybe gets you a tenth of what you need, but there is no spot you can just find 20 million sitting around.
These positions to help former players will be tough to keep

Do you have faith that Les Miles could bring a team to the NCG because he did it 13 years ago? We all know that answer is no.

Jacques Doucet pretty much personifies Baton Rouge wannabe who just wants to be part of the good ole boy club. He’s a fine reporter but I’m definitely taking his subjective takes with a grain of salt

Which begs the question, how serious is BK about winning a title? At his age, if he doesn't win in the next season or two, i bet he would take a buyout.
People rag on Orgeron, but he lived the talk in the hallways at work about how if you were offered XXXXX, you would be out the door before the ink would be dry

From what I gather here, I agree. This was strictly a business decision. And it sounds like LSU did it according to protocol.
Best wishes and God bless to Nick.

Makes you wonder what the incident was ... or if this is bad reporting.

Former running back Nick Brossette is no longer with LSU after serving as the Director of Alumni Relations and High School outreach for three seasons. According to the report, a single incident led to his dismissal and he was blindsided by the decision.

I think there is a missing word/typo because other reports said "not a single event led to the dismissal"

Well, he did it on his own in 2011 so there's historical precedent.

At this point, Marcus Freeman doesn’t have ND any further than where Brian Kelly had them, you dumb frick.
