Guess that makes LA #1 per capita. Pretty sure that has always been the case

I'm counting 46 of 97 that finished / went through LSU...

That's 47%. That's strong on one hand, but also means we may be missing out on a few too many home grown recruits.

Yes - several of these guys chose to go away to college, and I get that... but there are some that were either mis-evaluated or really blossomed in college.

Is there more fertile ground than Louisiana? Nope!

3:1 big states (CA, TX, FL) to LA

6:1 population of big states (CA, TX, FL) to LA

For years, LA has twice the NFL talent per capita as compared to the bigger states. Close your eyes, spin around, and point. You have twice the chance of finding an NFL talent in LA.

NFL caliber talent or Div 1 prospects

LA is 2:1 compared to the big states (twice the fertility) - MS and GA are always solid, too.

vs. Texas example

LA has ~10,000 high school senior football players and puts out ~110 Div 1 prospects per year (1%)

TX has ~60,000 high school senior football players and puts out ~400 Div 1 prospects per year (0.5%)

LA twice per capita
