I hate to put extraordinarily high expectations on a freshman pitcher, but I feel that Rizy will make the biggest leap and be our next superstar MLB prospect.
He has the arm strength already and the size to do it effortlessly in the way Skenes did. I believe he will be the pitcher Shores would've been for us had he not gotten injured and played three full seasons. Im nnot sure if he is a two year age guy(?) or will be here for three, but his upside is off the charts.

If Cowan can add 3-5mph and a 3rd pitch to go along with that change, dude could be absolutely filthy. I think the change worked so well early on (even in SEC play) because teams just didn’t have enough data on him.
As he got deeper into the season, teams were just sitting and waiting for him to put one up in the zone and smash it. Give him more out pitches and that goes away.

How do you know no other team will have better? Can you foresee what changes they may be making?

I thought he should have pitched more. I guess you only needed Evans and Cowan some weekends.

He got the start against DBU and shut them down for a few innings as well, if I'm remembering correctly. Ware, Schmidt, Rizzy all seem to have the stuff, but it was hit or miss if they would command it.
I may be misremembering, but wasn’t Ware the star of the fall and being talked about as a Friday night candidate?

Only Evans has dominant (Anderson/eyanson) stuff. Will def need portal help.
You’re a clown.
I think Dan knows just a little bit more about pitching, talent, and potential than you do. lol

Yes Ware was striking everyone out in fall ball

Don’t forget Sheerin will be back and fully healthy next season. This dude has elite stuff and if he’s remotely back into form then he will most likely be one of the weekend starters along with Evans. Goodness gracious if LSU would’ve had an Anderson, Eyanson and Sheerin rotation this year. That would’ve been downright unfair.

Louque is coming in as well. I realize there is a huge gap between incoming freshman and development to the next level but he’s pretty good and may add to the pen in year one

I’ve seen someone post that he is going to LSUE or LSUS. Says they are relatives.

I know they after a freshman pitcher from Rutgers that's gonna hit the portal.

Finding the Friday night starter might take a while, Anderson was a huge piece of winning it all this year and will be tough to replace.

I'm thinking Cooper has some real potential

Not taking away from sheerin but I'm gonna have to see him throwing strikes and not walking people consistently. Most all of our guys the past few years had "great stuff". The problem has been walking people. I'm not saying this against him in particular...but we hear this every year and then....they can't throw strikes consistently.

I have no clue how Sherrin will do next season. But I do know that you've proven to be one of the worst baseball posters this board had this season. So there is that.

If Cowan can add 3-5mph
I think Cowan pretty much is what he is at this point in his career. I don't think he has the frame to just go from 92 to 96-98. That being said, I'd love to have him back.

What if Shores comes back?

Shores is considered a top 120 MLB prospect. He just completed 3 years at LSU and we won 2 National Championships in his 3 years here. Why would he come back??
And… please don’t say to improve his draft prospects. This isn’t the NFL, his draft prospects are as good as it gets since he still has leverage.
