Spoke with Cade York this morning..... I’ve watched him kick for the past 2 years, but today was first time to speak with since he committed to LSU.

Dude is very pumped and can’t wait to get on campus. Had tons of props for Cole’s work this year and is confident Tiger nation will not see a drop off in the kicking game.

#3 kicker in country for a reason....

Glad to hear that. I've seen him kick so I know he is good but know nothing about his dedication. He should be a good one. He can also punt and kick off.

So, Avery Atkins might have something to say here.

Not really. O is going to continue to let Avery handle KO. I mean, technically there will be a “competition for the job”.... but no. Cade will be doing what Cole did last year

How do you know this for sure? Atkins has a huge leg and will have been in the program for a year.

Barrister is very much "in the know" with kicking coaches and camps. Trust his word here.

Kicking is always an open competition. O has a plan and a preference but those can both change week to week.

Three things I know for sure about this website:
1. You page Napoleon for washer/dryer expertise.
2. You page Barrister for kicking/punting expertise.
3. You page TrueTigerTale to find out which Zachary players LSU is missing out on.

“Cade York”

So much nickname potential. Hope he kicks well and gets one.

What separates kickers at this level? I’m assuming both guys can make 40 yarders all day in practice. Is there a mechanics difference that coaches can key on?

I ask because my son is a young kicker.

They are numerous, but all attainable skills with practice.

How old is your son?
