He said distance is not a big factor now for his parents like it was before the LSU trip. He is one hour away from South Carolina’s campus. They already had official visits to Clemson and North Carolina. It will be tough to pull him away from that area being those schools are all driving distance for his family. We are in it though being that Markee and his family loved the visit.

Clearly their was a segment of them touring the Cox Academic facility. You must have missed it.

My gosh the details involved in these visits. I know it was intense but everything is meticulously put together from the food waiting for the recruits and family when they get to the hotel to the handmade signs/placards waiting for them on their beds. It’s really pretty remarkable that they do this almost very weekend. Nuts.

I'm clearly prejudice, but after watching the OV videos to UNC and Clemson. How can you not see LSU is on a much different level. But maybe the kid eventually just wants to be close to home. I got the vibe that the kid wants to come here and needed the Family to be ok with it and I think LSU did enough to win them over with the first class way we ran our OV. We'll see

I was curious about this. I noticed the other videos, but don't have time to watch them yet. Curious to see the differences between LSU and other visits.

Care to elaborate? I mean, not even a year ago we were killing it before O left.

Their flight wasn't direct. CLT to MSY. Drove up and didn't get in until after 2am

Ummm I assure you their flight was direct.
He says in the video their flight was delayed 3 hours and that’s why they didn’t get in until so late. He also just makes a mistake when he mentions New Orleans.

That 100% was the BTR airport when they landed in the video.

Plus, it would not make much sense at all to fly a recruit in to New Orleans and drive him all the way to BR whenever there is daily direct flights from CLT to BTR.

Aggies Alabama and Georgia are far in front of us in 2022.

I read your comment to be in context of the way we hosts OVs--as in we're way behind others in putting on a great show with swag, amenities and persuasion.

I watched some OV videos of Bama Uga and A&M after watching this one of LSUs and we have some catching up to do. I don’t think the gap is that big but we need to keep investing in and upgrading our recruiting facilities and staff.

That alarm was triggered because the door was being held open for an extended period to allow all families to enter.

And that's actually a selling point. Families want to know their kids are secured and can't sneak out easily.

I enjoyed the hell out of that video. I also had time to watch the Clemson and UNC visits. I was shocked at how cheap both of the other schools appeared. I know there's a ton of money being generated at Clemson but their facilities don't reflect that, in my opinion. UNC was about what I expected. The best part about both of the visits to the other schools was seeing how impressive the head coaches houses were and that UNC had some Boosie blasting through their speakers while they took pics on the field. Lol

As a lifelong fan who will likely never have access to all of the facilities on campus, it was cool to see everything through the eyes of a prospect on an official visit.

I really enjoyed it too and always wondered what the recruits and their families did for the whole visit.

All of that is inconsequential now. Say it with me...
