LSU couldn't come up with a classier name?
We went from "Forever LSU" to "Fierce for Fundraising?"

Business Report includes another crucial detail that the Advocate left out.
quote:
LSU Chief Financial Officer Dan Layzell, who was recruited by Alexander to come to LSU in 2014, is also listing his University Club home for sale. The listing for the five-bedroom, 3,700-square-foot home went active May 1. Layzell says he also is looking to downsize and is not planning to leave LSU or Baton Rouge at this time. Ballard adds that Layzell, who interviewed in April for an administrative position at the University of New Mexico, is no longer considering the opportunity and has withdrawn from the search.
Seems even F. King cronies are on their way out.

This twitter user predicted Alleva being gone a full 6 days before it was officially announced.
Does the saying "where there's smoke, there's fire" mean anything to you??

Why is he wearing a I love NY shirt in a LSU promotional video? Who approves this stupidity?
EVO DEVO was equally as bad anything Fielding promotes.

So basically, a few posters saw his house for sell, viewed it as an opportunity to be an "insider" on a message board, made a thread saying they knew King was gone, in the hopes of being correct and claiming a little internet fame. What a sad life they must live.
Par for the course here.
The saddest posts are the ones that shout that "Wade ran off F King" or some such nonsense. I would hate to have a degree from a school where any coach can run off the university President.

I'd imagine that Skip Bertman could have done whatever he wanted with impunity in the 90s.
Dale Brown definitely flexed his muscle a good bit in the 80s and LSU basketball wasn't even some sort of national power.

If you want LSU to be a great school, then you must acknowledge that it needs 10s if not 100s of millions of dollars in additional revenue.
Lsu also happens to be located in a town that has no major league teams and a culture that relies heavily on college sports for entertainment.
The bottom line is that people were trying to run LSU like you would a UNC or Duke.
Sports should be the focus. Donors aren't going to donate to the TAF or the school until or starts winning again. Compete for titles, increase interest in the school, generate more revenue, then start restoring the school to its greatness with more funding.
All that's been happening is that administration was digging into how schools are measured and then finding the cheapest way to influence those numbers to make it look like it's doing better than it really is.
Will Wade WON an SEC title. Whether you agree with his methods or not, this school is desperate for results. Its desperate for money and money comes with results, not moral victories. The school was not obligated to suspend him and then not reinstate him. They positioned themselves that way and kept giving the media quote after quote to make it harder to reinstate him.
This is just the way it is. If you really want to protect LSU, get the donor's back on board.

I'll stand with my sources. This is just a PR move. I bet you feel really smart though!
What do your sources say in terms of timing?
I wonder how many folks trust their sources enough to self ban if they are wrong?
Just curious.

Ernie Ballard has a proven track record of lying his arse off for the Univ.

I posted almost 3 months ago that King would be let go before fall semester starts. I’m still hearing July.

Or. He realizes the jig is up and get out from under a mortgage and live in a home provided by LSU before he’s out of a job.
