It's 10 minutes away at most and there will be more cabs at I-Drive than anywhere else so probably not. Getting a cab to go home may be your only problem.

here is also a block party on Wall Street in downtown Orlando.
THAT'S the one. I hadnt clicked the 1st link, I just assumed it was the the Wall Street one, lol.
That is where you want to be.

Wall St. will be good, but the other block party on Church St. is where it's at
I'll have to disagree there.
Wall St>>>>>>>Church Street
And it's not even close, IMO.

Will it be hard to get downtown coming from the International Dr area that night?
Shouldn't be THAT much traffic. About a 15 minute drive down I4 East.

I'm not sure if the Wall Street party attracts people that are slightly older than the Church Street party
The chicks on Wall Street are MUCH better than the ones on Church Street, without question.
I'll put it this way. I have a friend who is 25 years old, self made, makes TONS of money, owns his own business. He lives in a condo on the beach in Miami, tons of famous people have a condo in his building, including Janet Jackson. Dude has banged tons of hot chicks from a porn star to a chick in the Miss Universal pageant in Costa Rica. ALL that being said, he came to Wall Street with me ONCE, and said that it may have been the best collection of talent he's EVER seen.
I rest my case, LOL.

The watering holes on Wall Street are much closer and it is a much more contained party...as in out in the streets on balconies, etc.
On Church Street the places may be a little spaced out...not much, just not as compact as Wall Street.
I would think Wall Street; but, that is just me. I've gone to both.
By slightly older, I just mean people who aren't out having their first drink at 21...I'm not sure exactly how to say what I want to say.

I've never been to Wall St. on NYE, but I'll probably do both now.
I'd say the biggest difference b/w Wall and Church is that half the people on Church St. think they're in Miami. That's a horrible thing, but unfortunately we usually go to Church st. The block party at Church last year was sick though, didn't have to wait too long for drinks at most places either.

I can't STAND the Church Street crowd at all.
Wall St is infinitely better, IMO.

Hopefully the folks are reading the 2nd page of this thread, getting all of this sound information, lol.
I'll take Slingapours, One Eyed Jacks, and shite, just hanging out with the masses outside, then a trip across the street to Casey's and Suite B(well, the old Suite B, not the new crowd) over ANY other night out in ALL of Orlando.

I'll be staying with friends who have promised me a nice thick juicy steak on the grill and Im sure some fine wine.
I'm old so that'll do just fine

We're doing the universal thing...younger brother is going and he isn't 21 soooo
Posted on 12/8/09 at 4:09 pm to shel311
thanks for the info...looks like wall street is definately the way to go....i see it's 20 bucks to get on it....how bad do you think drink prices will be since it's New Year's?
Posted on 12/8/09 at 4:22 pm to LSUnFL
go to the downtown thing...the parks are a pain in the arse in my opinion..i live here and can't stand the tourist traps...stay downtown and do the block party thing and also Lake Eola has a free fireworks show every year...

Another Tigah board said the Orlando Alumni Assn. is planning a party but haven't seen a thing about it. Anybody hear?
Posted on 12/8/09 at 5:27 pm to rumtumtiger
Wall St. sounds like the way to go...I am 21 but I have a few 20s and a 19 in my group, is there an age minimum for this block party?
