That's the best combination, IMHO. Personally, I don't care if I never see the gold pants again. Never liked them, though the gold helmet is iconic.

They were clean but I can't wait until we're back in the usuals next weekend. Hopefully Florida wears blue tops with white pants.

to solve it for the traditionalists and those that like change: Why not make the gold helmet, purple jersey, white pants a traditional uniform and let the gold pants, white jersey, gold helmet be our other traditional uniform? Also could make wearing all white once a year a tradition and make a tradition of wearing something completely different once a year a new tradition as well. That way we get variety while keeping our traditions.

I thought the usual LSU helmet is gold. The Arky 2009 helmet looked more bronze than gold.

That color scheme makes us look like every other team uniform. At best, somewhat like the Minnesota Vikings.
The LSU purple and gold uniforms are unique and should remain unaltered. Whether the white or purple jersey with the gold pants are classy and classic.

All white would be sick. I think all purple with the white helmet would look nice too. I wouldn't mind a few uniform changes a year for a big game or two.
