Let me put it this way. Does Alabama have any alternate uniforms or color changing helmets? No. Does Texas ever have any alternate uniforms or color changing helmets? No. Does Penn State have any alternate uniforms or color changing helmets? NO. If we need alternate uniforms and color changing helmets to attract recruits and defeat Alabama, then, dare I say it, The Communists have already won.

Just googled color changing helmet and there is some sort of development in football helmets to change colors after absorbing a strong collision; used to detect concussions.
Or this could be an iridescent paint job al la every custom painted car featured in rap video circa 2002
