New traditions to start in the new Box! Name yours!
Kids stood on the field by their favorite players last night during National Anthem.

TRUE!!! Last week too! They do this in many MLB parks- didnt see, but hope the kids got autograph balls like in the ML. That would be cool! Like the baserunning for the kids on Sundays after game, and it was me that Posted about lettingkids play in playground and I can enjoy game while still keeping eyeon them. hell, I went on the playground when we started blowing them out too in the 5th inning a week or so ago!!

Kids taking the field for the anthem is done on midweek games only.

And let's not forget the time-honored classic of "Kids Running the Bases" after Sunday games.

"Left Field Sucks" / "Right Field Sucks"...Prior to this year, it couldn't be done. But we have left field and right field bleachers now.
Not enough people sit in RF to make this an option.

My suggestion for a "new" tradition at the Box is to allow cars and RV's to park across the street from the stadium. Move the bovines! (smell is terrible with a south wind) and build a new "premium" lot.

It would be great to see the fans with brooms on Sunday's when a sweep is on the line....and to smell BBQ pits and jambalaya pots when walking up to the stadiium gates.

All women under 150 pounds must wear white, or jean short shorts, and show off their finest cameltoes.

Same must show one titty on a run score(by LSU), and remove entire shirts, and bras, and jump aroumd in a complete circle for every home run by the Tigers.

I thank all of you for making your input to this thread, but, I never intinded for it to become a bashing thread for something good turn into a good thing if the right suggestion is made and enough liked the idea. I made mine for yall to make yours and never meant for them to be something that was a good idea. Do not think the suggestions I made would work anyway just wanted to see if we could get a long decent thread about improvements that would be beneficial for all the fans and not just a certain group of fans.

I know that the students should come first but, at the same time we all know that there was not that many students going to the games before they won the NC last year. At opening night this year was the most students I have ever seen at a baseball game. If the students would come to the games no matter what there would nothing negative be said about the students after all that is what all these sports are for the students but then again you would not know it if they had not won the NC last year.

This is the only sport at LSU that could be great for the family as a whole to go. But, when someone mentions family and kids everyone wants to attack the family and say if things aren't this way and that way then to hell with the kids. That is not right and one thing you have to remember is that you came from a family and like myself the memorable times I spent where when I came to the baseball games with my family and I want this same thing for mine. All I was doing was wanting to see what the majority of the fans would like to see started that has not been done and would be something enjoyable for all.

Sorry if I tried to get something out of the masses to help make the trip to the Box an enjoyable event for the intire family and those that are with friends and also the students. Should have known better than to think you could get anything with any forethought into it from some of these people on this board. Sorry but no one can post and decent thread on here without some idiots messing it up.

+1000... but it will be $6.00 for a 24 oz like the Cap 1 Bowl... I must admit though it was great to stand up with a beer in my hand and cheer on the Tigers in the stadium

Another suggestion (which will never happen):

Move the U-High baseball field somewhere else and use that space for a nice Tiger Village type car/RV parking lot. LSU owns pasture land for days and U-High can play baseball somewhere else. The revenue from a year or two of the parking fees would pay for the development of a new high school field somewhere else.

I think most would agree that the new stadium is great, but the parking/tailgate situation is kind of convaluted. LSU should do all they can to create parking on the stadium side of the railroad track.

(I guess this is where all of the U-High fans (who ALL have bumper stickers on their cars as I think it is mandatory) go ape-sh*t on me for this rediculous suggestion.)
