if the kids aren't enjoying the games enough as is maybe their tickets should go to someone who will.
I agree with this. Thats why I leave the daughter at home until she gets older and me and the boy go.

i like the foul poles whats wrong with them? The batters eye must go. An up close look at it reminds me of the material that makes a trampoline.

Steamed towels after eating nachos.
Neck and shoulder massages during the seventh inning stretch.

First things first. Baseball Has never had and should never have a band or cheerleaders. That is why we have bat girls and piped music.
Secondly LSU is a college and who goes to this college? The students. The game isn't for the little kiddies. If your kids don't like going then don't bring them. The point is this University is for the students not your 8 or 12 yr old. If they want to do things for the alumni or people who love the university then fine. But not fo the little brats that hating going but you bring them anyway to "bond". Leave the game alone and don't try to spice it up. If you don't like the way things are done. Don't go. Change concessions or things like that but leave the students who actually attend the university out of it.

was in omaha for the '09 cws and HATED when the bleachers started the 'sucks' chant. sat in bleachers for 2 or 3 games and cringed every time they started. was the worse thing about cws.

I would like to see the Tiger Band or a small portion at the Conference games. Dosen't have to be the whole Marching band, something in line with what they do for Basketball. Better than that mess they are putting out over the speakers! JMHO!
Back in Skips early years (1985/1986) we did have a pep band for a few games. It doesn't work out very well plus, it's a lot of hours to put in. Most people have no idea how many hours are put into the fall for Tiger Band and Spring is when many members take a heavier course load and work part-time jobs.

The dumbness of some people astounds me.

i have definitely taken a pic with mike at the old box, so I know he has been at the stadium before.

Wasn't to you, you just happened to be the person I responded to.
I mean really, the band and cheerleaders? Really?
I kinda like our current tradition of kicking arse and taking names.

Maybe let Mike walk through the stands but my opinion is that it just wont take. Too much of an older crowd that wants to watch a ballgame. Nothing wrong with that I say.
I LOVE when mike comes around. but then again maybe im just a big kid at heart.
I think they do plenty enough for the kids. Theres the candid pictures or whatever which is simple enough that i think it will become a nice permanent "tradition"
they could do that thing they used to do where the kids could go stand out by their favorite player as they played the national anthem. they did it back when i was a kid. standing next to brad cresse and him giving me a high five was (at the time) one of the coolest things that i had ever experienced

yes - the suggestion of Left Field Sucks / Right Field Sucks was a joke. My worst memory of Rosenblatt too, and still makes me cringe when I hear it on TV. I kind of enjoyed the beach balls between innings though.
On a more serious note, if the Box was not built for kids, why did they install playgrounds? If nothing else, it allows parents who are responsible for kids to make games where they can watch Tigers and kids can have fun on playground. Saw a recent post from a guy who loves to sit in right field bleachers where he can monitor both game and kids on playground.

Kids stood on the field by their favorite players last night during National Anthem.
