Good...that turf was looking rough after Auburn.

That turf in Philly last night was pristine despite a downpour. Would be great to have someyhing like that.

$3.5 million seems pretty steep for some grass

Apparently they, along with the Packers, use a special hybrid turf. Grass with plastic fibers in it. Only two pro teams in the USA to use it while hugely popular around the world for pro soccer fields.

Learned that courtesy of some other poster's link to Wikipedia in the previous thread on this topic.

That 3.5 also includes all new drainage and irrigation.

Maybe we should just cover the field before rain instead of saying we have a great drainage system

I think Woodward is trolling the rant with the 3.5...

Some botanist will need to come explain the difference between the previous grass and “natural turf”

You should never pay for anything with bonus revenue. Added revenue = added costs and added overhead, Finance 101

Hybrid Turf/Grass Youtube

Really interesting video that shows how it works. It can take more use than regular grass field.

I wish I could've made it there to get some of the turf given away.
