This is actually a rational point, though, as has been described above, he could not have forseen that his conversation would be recorded, so I am not sure that describing his actions as stupid is accurate. Wrong place wrong time.
Unless you were saying that paying for players is itself stupid, which also has some validity, but it is unfortunately the price of success today. May be that ties into the American moral downfall comment.

At the end of the day Miller has been in this hot water 1-2 years longer than Wade going back to the Ayton stuff, and still hasn’t been moved. Zona has much more to lose in this because bball is their bread and butter. These guys keep regurgitating these “new” blurbs every few months but until something brand new comes out im not too worried.

We’re pretty lucky, if that’s the right word, the tournament was canceled so this story will be buried. This would be brutal if LSU had a game tomorrow. What more could they squeeze out of this story? I can’t see this dropping every single March. Eventually no one will care.

What I’ve learned from this is that Thanel, forde, wetzel etc are no Charles Robinson

That's still 2 weeks away though. The sports talk shows aren't gonna be talking virus in 2 weeks most likely. There won't be any big sports topics going. Depending on the show obviously, it could be a big story and get a lot of attention.

Who knows what’ll pop off between now and then. It’s probably a great time to air that show because of what’s all happening in the world to overshadow it. I just don’t really seeing anyone other than the usual suspects exerting any useful energy on this. It would have to actually be tournament time or like mid conference season for this to make national waves unless some new groundbreaking info comes out.

I hope you're right. My fear is that it when people hear Wade saying the things in the transcript that it will have a bigger impact.
