IF what Dawkins says in that article is true, then I'm pretty positive Will Wade knows what other schools are offering other players as well then. He 100% has dirt on them.
So Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, Arizona, and all the other frickboys need to watch out.

Exactly. They were just pissed that the price went up. Guess what? That is exactly why people bitch about each other in SEC football. They all know what is going on. They just don’t want to have to

Is Bill Self an "amateur"? (he texted the Adidas rep about players). Is Sean Miller an amateur?
The bottom line is that Wade was talking to the wrong guy at the wrong time. Do you think Christian Dawkins was the only "runner" in the world of college basketball recruiting? There are hundreds of brokedick hustlers like him trying to sell top HS talent. That's basically WHY AAU basketball exist. And why recruiting of AAU "grassroots" programs have replaced traditional recruiting of high school programs.
No, repeat NO, college HC could have ever imagined the DOJ and FBI had SO little issues of actual substance to investigate that they would wast time and taxpayer money to investigate "bribery of college coaches". And NONE could have imagined that this particular runner, one of probably dozens, if not more, college coaches talk to on a yearly basis in recruiting, would happen to be associated with a financial adviser charged with securities fraud (having nothing to do with college basketball whatsoever), looking to throw someone else under the bus to lessen his own charges.
This stuff ALL started because a nickle and dime financial adviser lost his arse on a shitty movie investment and defrauded some of his clients in an effort to cover his losses. In order to save himself from an extended jail sentence, he served up someone he did business with (Dawkins) with promises to the DOJ/FBI it would lead to a sexier story (take down of college basketball). As a result, the DOJ went after Dawkins for "bribing" public universities via their coaches, which is completely and utterly laughable because NO college coaches were actually "bribed".
So why would ANY coach have reason to even remotely be wary his conversations could be privy to a criminal investigation when none were discussing criminal matters?

Yahoo must be so pissed that the cancelled tournament took the air out of their hit piece. You know they’ve been sitting on this for months waiting for this week.

The FBI is not looking into LSU

Two people talking about, and speculating on, someone else, Wade, is not evidence of any wrongdoing on Wade's part.

Hmm, so more recordings of other people talking about Wade but no recordings of Wade? Smells like hearsay and jealousy to me.
That's exactly what I got from what the op quoted. Recordings of people saying they heard this or heard that. I mean it's fricking telephone.

He missed out on coaching LSU’s postseason run

Forfeited bonus money
Restructured his contract making it easier to terminate him
And he’s about to become a laughing stock again after this airs.
So yea, he was an amateur about it. Dude needs to stay off the horn

You have serious issues with this particular case. You want to be right so bad it clouds your thinking.

In perhaps the most colorful exchange, Miller and Dawkins are discussing the rumor that Naz Reid, a 6-10 forward from New Jersey who was rumored to be leaning heavily to LSU, might actually commit to Arizona.
This is a recording of Dawkins and Miller. Not of Will Wade.

It also contains a number of never-before-heard audio recordings of FBI-intercepted phone calls between Dawkins and LSU coach Will Wade and Arizona’s Miller.
This is from the article. I read the above as audio of will wade and of sean miller. If thats not the case then everything will be okay.

Not a single dollar amount was mentioned lmfao. Boy these people are trying so hard to gain control of college basketball. Time for the old guard to wake up and fight this scum.

Never before heard by the general public.
I would assume the author of the report has head them since he writes about their contents:
quote:
"In perhaps the most colorful exchange, Miller and Dawkins are discussing the rumor that Naz Reid, a 6-10 forward from New Jersey who was rumored to be leaning heavily to LSU, might actually commit to Arizona."
quote:
The film also plays in its entirety a previously reported call between Dawkins and Wade where Wade alludes to a “strong-arse offer” he made to a player that is presumed to be Javonte Smart, then a top recruit from Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
A transcript of that call was originally reported by Yahoo Sports in March of 2019.
The tape they are talking about is the one Yahoo already had a transcript of and reported on last year. It's nothing new. Only now you, presumably, get to hear it.
