There is certainly a large component of homerism here, but as you see from the comments above, no one seems to be claiming he did nothing wrong. This is, rather,a critique of the evidence and the media–game being played.

Coach K and Zion are knee deep in this thing, but Yahoo! won’t go there. Why should we be offended that Will Wade is playing the game? They mentions that Will Wade is driving up the price. That means there is a price to be driven up. Wade’s just being more aggressive in pursuit of these players.

Really? You know a school paying a recruit is not a crime, right? It's an NCAA violation, the FBI doesn't investigate NCAA violations.
I'm not a big fan of any wiretaps being made public, as that gives the NCAA some ammunition. But to actually investigate the NCAA would need Dawkins' cooperation - don't think they are getting that.
At the end of the day, this is going to be chalked up as Dawkins sensationalizing this to make a dollar.

Jeebus. There is no real evidence that WW or LSU paid for any player. They do not even have WW on any tape talking about paying a player any amount of money. And they have neither any tape nor any full transcript of any tape to rely on.
Note: the idea that WW has $300K from anywhere to pay for one player is ludicrous.

Our fanbase (probably like all others) is so hypocritical. If this was any other coach, the "where's the proof" BS would be irrelevant.
Wade is a sleazebag. Maybe every other coach in the country is the same. Don't know.
