re: New stuff from Will Wade wiretap

What’s the most hilarious thing about these premature prosecutors is the fact that they’ve learned nothing from recent examples. They still believe coaches have this insane amount of cash on hand and are dispatching bag men with sports bags to players dorm rooms lol. The Louisville scandal taught us that it’s the shoe companies who are actually providing the money not the coaches and the case involving 27 mid to smaller level schools in the northeast, that got no attention last year, taught us that programs are even hiding money within scholarships. The people claiming they “know” Wade’s guilty are living in a world from 40 years ago, they have no idea what they’re talking about.

It’s an incredibly naive position in the first place given what we know about the most “respected” basketball coaches in the game today.
And college football...he’s putting his fingers in his ears and turning away while the screams are behind him
Not to mention he loves to bring up the ethics of it while not grasping what a real ethical argument actually is
But hey, if my heart surgeon “performed” past tense too heart surgery on me while possibly cheating on his boards... just laughable

That’s the kicker, the “ethics” argument. It’s completely ignorant of the situation to begin with. The shoe companies control the entire sport of basketball from the AAU level to the NBA. It’s their game, their rules and they’re the ones in charge of the money for recruits mostly. So if we want Wade to take on the sport of basketball in the name of ethics and try to reinvent the wheel so to speak, see how far he gets doing it. To watch people who have no clue how college basketball recruiting works lecture us and condemn Wade based on ethics is laughable. This campaign to smear Wade is not about money it’s about Wade infringing on blue blood recruiting territory. That’s why the comments about him having balls and not giving a f___k were made. Miller understood that Wade was going to get retribution from the big boys for challenging them on the recruiting trail. Wade never played and didn’t come up through the normal channels, he hasn’t been blessed by the wise men in the sport so he’s not allowed to cross certain people.

I also get a kick out of the theory that he implicated himself with his own comments beyond any doubt. Even after we found out almost all of them were taken out of context and twisted as much as possible. Take the “3rd party” comments, first off why would Wade be addressing the 3rd party as the 3rd party? The simple language of it makes no sense at all and even if you couldn’t see that right away like a normal person we later find out that Wade was talking about Kentucky’s offer to Smart lol. He’s not even talking about LSU but because it was repeated by a media member our fans just skip common sense in favor of juicy gossip. It’s shameful to be honest.

Just to be clear, you are OK watching, donating, supporting a game that is based on unethical behavior, cheating, etc?

I just want our coach (and others) to live up to the printed words in their contract. I swear, sometimes I feel like I'm involved in a discussion with the mafia.....where ANYTHING is justified; as long as we "win."

Off the top of my head, these are the coaches I think did it right. Although there was the "paper class" scandal at UNC, all of the evidence showed that Dean Smith had no knowledge of it.
(in no particular order....except for #1)
1. John Wooden
Dean Smith
Jim Valvano
Hugh Durham

How can you take that from what I said? And where is your evidence Wade did anything wrong at all? Again instead of reading and believing a convicts smears of those who helped put him away why not read the actual facts that have come out about the case?
1- the wire taps were not on Will Wade they were on Dawkins phone.
2- the FBI was not investigating Will Wade or any NCAA coaches. This was an investigation into Dawkins involving federal wire fraud and bribery that had nothing to do with any college basketball programs. It was about Dawkins using money from Adidas bribing players to sign with a sports agency he was trying to become part of.
3- Will Wade was brought in to help the FBI understand Dawkins activities. He was helping the FBI not being investigated by them.
4- there was an NCAA inquiry into alleged comments Wade made about Javonte Smart. Both Smart and Wade were questioned and cleared.
5- the comments were released by Dawkins lawyers in order to discredit Wade and others who were cooperating with the FBI and were so unreliable they weren’t even admitted in court.
6- no money or payments were ever discussed on any of the comments.
7- Dawkins also allegedly had a payment sheet with Jarrell Martin on it. At the time of Martins recruitment to LSU Dawkins had no connection to the program. This further shows that the money being handled by Dawkins wasn’t connected to LSU or any other program but to shoe companies he represented.
8- none of this is new information. It’s the same hit piece from last spring repackaged by HBO using the same comments from Dawkins that Wade has already answered the NCAA about and been cleared of.
Do you have any facts or evidence that at all confirms the allegations you’ve constantly pushed about Will Wade? If not you shouldn’t be lecturing anybody about ethics and if you can’t see the hypocrisy in doing so you’re hopeless.
