Has he gotten faster while at LSU? The only 60 I could find on him was 6.84 his senior year of HS. Just asking. Gio ran 6.45, Dugas 6.5, Pearson 6.51, Crews 6.63 from what I could find.

Morgan looked like the fastest kid on the team to me last year

I don’t think Morgan gets moved to OF just yet. Pearson will get a spot imo. His approach is exactly what JJ teaches. He’s very selective and attacks the inside of the ball and gets lift….he’s up there to mash.

Haven't seen it mentioned here, but Dylan Crews has been playing exclusively CF so far this Summer. Both for his summer league team and team USA. Looks to me like we'll have a corner OF spot available with Crews playing CF in 2022.
Dugas is going to play Left IMO.
Right will be a competition b/w Drost and Pearson most likely. Either can DH of course as well.

I would not say the fastest, which I would easily give to Gio, but he looks fast running the bases. I would put Morgan in the outfield with Gio, if he comes back.

I think Morgan should move there if the rest of our infield can show improvement throwing to first. He scooped a lot of bad throws last year if that continues Idk how you play him in the outfield.
Plus he has a good frame so adding weight and additional power st the next level isn’t an insane prospect .
