And right away, Saban made a public announcement on why, mentioned his important "new role," and had williams come out and say he was on board with the move....

Who the hell are these LS coaches trying to determine what a college football coach can or can not do.

Have you ever done business or played a game against, or tried to schedule a tournament with the historically black high schools in NOLA? It's a fricking nightmare dealing with (most of) those guys...

They always have some shite with them

It's really not surprising our PR department shite the bed considering how badly it's done in the past couple of years.

LSU needs to add some PR people to the "shadow staff" STAT.

Can we just promote Thomas to AD and "reassign" Alleva?

Bobby Williams was taken off the field because he sucks as a Coach. Anybody that buys anything else is dumb.

Why is it relevant what race the other coaches are then?

I don't think it is. Maybe you should comment directly on the article. Nothing else in it implies they are mad because a black man got fired. Are they mad because their friend was fired? Possibly. But I don't think it's just about his skin color. I mean, if they didn't like they guy, would they care? Maybe, just maybe it's more about standing up for a colleague they feel has been wronged. I'm not saying I agree with what they are doing. Just saying there are other motivations out there besides race. And we don't know the entire story.

I'm just wondering why the "black coaches" are upset and no one else

Have you ever had to deal with any of those schools or their athletic programs (specifically their coaches)? Serious question, not a flame

People bought the shite out of it. Saban had a press conf announcing the move, announced he is making the same salary, and had William sign off on the move.

Their PR played chess while we are playing checkers

Like I said previously, if it's not about skin color, why weren't the other coaches in the Nola area involved in this boycott meeting?

I would really be surprised if this issue lingers. The HS coaches are trying to make a point (not sure what it is but some kind of statement is being made). Things will be smoothed over and this will be forgotten.
