Screw N.O.. Plenty of talent outside the shitty city. Don't send a single recruiter inside the city limits and watch how fast they say we are discriminating after said boycott.

I was just sent a link of this news story. Full disclosure I as a huge supporting of the Juluke hire after Frank left for a few reasons. Juluke is very respected in the New Orleans area among the ENTIRE High School coaching fraternity. I am not sure what Juluke has shared with his old colleagues regarding his departure but it appears not very good. In one article Juluke has been reassigned to protect his pension opportunities and the next thing I read, he's at Texas Tech. This isn't adding up.
Regarding the current High School coaches identified in this proposed boycott. Please note, most of these coaches or their assistants have been following their more talented kids since playground ball. They have relationships with both the kids and their parents. In some cases, these same coaches are father figures to a number of players.
Whatever the issue is, O needs to make it right the best way he can.
I was around when there was a similar boycott of Dale Brown. With the amount of talent that left the state from the New Orleans Area in the 80's and early 90's, even Dale would have won a championship...I am not taking sides but don't think these coaches don't have a significant influence...

A successful college football coach is a good politician. If O can't handle the political side he will fail.

And, to the guy who said who are St. Aug's up and coming players you know nothing of the importance of the school to Black folks not only in New Orleans but the entire country. St. Aug alums are some of the most prominent Black men in the United States. And, their alums are like a fraternity. So, if word is Juluke was wronged that's bad news for O. O may have to kiss some arse to maintain his long-term success.

Doesn't make sense. Happens all the time, what happened to Juluke. Maybe not right, but it happens.

Yet they're not up in arms about Miles, who had a good and longstanding relationship with most of those coaches, being canned midseason?

They don't have a problem with what happened to Craig- what, because he's from Alabama?

Everyone with any sense knew that big offensive staff changes were coming, after the Canada hire was announced.

Say what you will about Saban but he shows respect where he should. It's a reason when he comes in any part of Louisiana to recruit the red carpet is rolled out.

If getting fired necessarily means he was wronged, I guess he was wronged...except that LSU graciously gave him an admin position so that he could still be paid while he searched for future employment.

This entire response was extremely immature and unprofessional.

It's the optics of the firing. I said to a friend that Juluke was paid for his services. My friend, a woman who graduated from St. Mary's, told me you don't do to a St. Aug alum.

Saban plays the game. Any high school coach who thinks he's being shown respect is getting manipulated and just doesn't realize it.

Respect? Man you better look at the revolving door that Bama's staff has become. It is about to become a true problem in Tuscaloosa.
