It sure looks like it. I remember thinking for sure Seastrunk was coming to LSU...when I heard Oregon I was just dumbfounded.

I think its pretty obvious that he asked LSU for money, and LSU rebuffed him. Which explains LSU's lukewarm interest in Seastrunk towards the end of recruiting

it's fricking laughable that Lyles is trying to play the naive victim in this. what a scumbag

So if LSU paid him to sway players, why would he frick us over?

His Mom was going to refuse to sign his LOI if he went to Oregon. Lyles fricked LSU over and had everything changed so his grandmother could sign and he could go to Oregon. If LSU was paying him for players, we got screwed.
Which is exactly why I don't think we were doing any shady shite with Lyles.

Notice the picture of Lyles with recruits Cassius Marsh(LSU commit who went to UCLA), Trevon Reed(Auburn)and Lache Seastrunk(Oregon) on sidelines at 2009 game of LSU vs Florida.I think where there is smoke there just might be some fire.Could be major violation for Oregon.

Amen. The quicker Willie Lyles drops out of the media spotlight, the better it is for us.
I wouldn't want to be Oregon right now - this looks bad - but it's also a little too close to LSU for comfort.

just read the entire article. No question Lyles is a scumbag I predict there is way more still to come out. Hope LSU severs all ties with him. Problem is when you stand too near a bucket of S*** being stirred, sometimes, a little spills over the edge and gets on everyone.

Seems like that's exactly what Oregon did, and now it's coming back to bite them in the arse.
Hell, I say keep paying him $6000 a year and keep making him return a checklist of legitimate stuff.

He says in the article that he is done. It's over no more business.

They paid quadruple the amount of money that LSU paid ($24K vs $6K). There's no getting around that.
My only worry was that Randle's HS Coach-whose got some tie$ to Texas A&M-said in an article that Brick Haley showed up with Lyles to recruit Randle, & Randle's made mention of knowing him, as well.
There's always been tons of rumors, and there alaways will be around top-flight college football programs. But, Oregon's in hot water. No two ways about it.

The best part about that article:
Not a single negative word about LSU.
Oh, and:
fricking Lyles...

GFunk, Lyles was involved in quite a few LSU recruits back when Porter was recruiting Houston.
It seems the last 2 years or so we've steered clear of him (and lost a bunch of guys that seemed likely to go to LSU), but if there were to be an issue it would be from 3-5 years ago when Porter was hitting Houston pretty hard.
Hopefully there's nothing there, but I wouldn't laugh too much at Oregon just yet. As someone else said, some of the mud being slung at Oregon could slop over and hit us too.

No they are quite different, Look at the "D" in Ducks...They are two separate people

You've been a pretty rational OR fan, what's your opinion of this?
Or did you already post it in here and I just didn't see it?
