To be fair, in Charles Turner's interview, he said New Mexico State rather than New Mexico so it seems to go both ways

It doesnt help that they have identical colors and fonts on their uniforms. Even Google has a hard time differentiating the teams

Edit: I also get them mixed up with UNLV too

. To be fair they could combine the rosters and still couldn’t bring a competitive team to BR

They are probably staying in New Orleans and driving in for the game. Several opposing fans do this every weekend.

You can say that for any City because Democrats have fukked most cities up. There are good places and bad. I guess it depends on the part of town you frequent.

In fairness to them, I don't know what city U. New Mexico is in

Actually, a really beautiful campus in Albuquerque. On one of my trips out there, I want to play the UNM golf course.

Not when NO is an hour beyond your target destination. They aren't coming from the east.

Maybe this has been discussed but some may not know that Ed Nunez is the AD here at UNM, some may remember him as the guy who brought a pretty good hoops coach to LSU....FWIW I'm an LSU grad, '71 Geaux Tigs

Thinking LSU is in New Orleans is actually pretty common for people from outside the region. I've seen it a lot

In my experience, when traveling outside the country, you can tell people you are from Louisiana and they will say they don’t really know where that is. Tell them you are from near New Orleans and they immediately will start talking about it and how they’ve always wanted to visit, etc.
