This LSU offense cannot succeed allowing 3.5 sacks average per game. LSU could have done worse, but this hire is a long long way below a KM hire, from technique teaching to recruiting.. LSU had a chance to hire probably the best oline recruiter in LSU history.
Oh well, another settle in my view. Hope I'm wrong. He has to be better than Cregg though, so overall a positive change.

free 247 article on the hire LINK

Rivals opinion LINK you can tell it's from Farrell when he posts, "Cregg was a big reason why these prospects liked LSU, but Ed Orgeron and his staff will stay among the finalists for these guys."

Clearly, by reading his statement, there were a few feathers ruffled by his departure.

I mean, it isn't exactly coaching carousel season and I can see why your o-line coach leaving right after spring ball might get some people hot under the collar. But, like Bear said, "when Mama calls, you just have to come running."

I'm excited that the offensive lineman recruits on campus this weekend already have taken a liking to him.

How do we know that, C.C.?
Is there somebody giving hour to hour updates on the proceedings?

What is this statement based on? His playing career? Cause that don’t mean shite in coaching. Coach O never even made it to the NFL but has coached and recruited some of the best Dlinemen in history.

In case you didn’t know, KM was supposed to get the Oline coaching job at ASU and was past over, which is why he’s now in Indy. So you’re saying he’s good enough for us but not Arizona State?! Not buying it

Kelvin banks and kam dewberry seem to love the hire.

I don't think cregg really connected with the players on a personal level.

Exactly and it appears Davis is MUCH better on that front. I'm really excited about this hire, mainly because of the recruiting aspect.

We have been able to pull elite skill position players forever, and now we got elite QBs joining the team. The big time, blue-chip offensive linemen were all that was missing on that side of the ball. If Davis can start getting those guys, our offense will be unstoppable every year.

Consistent dominance. Only 2-3 teams do it, if we start getting more blue chip OL recruits, we'll join that group, as we're competitive everywhere else.
