I know our Baseball team is relatively young and mistakes are part of the game, but I think the Head Coach needs to take a serious look at a new Hitting Coach ! Way too many mistakes at the plate ! Bunting technique- Swinging at too many bad pitches !--just basic fundamentals that seem to crop up too often --What ya think ? Pitching has been a problem but is improving !!

You mean hiring the guy that got kicked out of minor league baseball for doping, and never being known for his hitting ability was a bad idea? Ochinko blows...

We are 4th in average and 6th in runs scored

He shouldn’t have been hired in any position. It sends a bad message.

Still wouldn't hurt to add a hitting coach IMO

According to? SEC games only it’s worse than that as of last weekend.

I agree. Certain stats don't exactly tell the whole story.

We could dive deeper into the stats, such as versus SEC competition only.. etc..

However, I don't really care to see all that. We see enough from the actual games. I don't think it would hurt to add a more qualified hitting coach.

Just a simple opinion though. I am not exactly passionate behind it.

I'd hire Canny back tomorrow if it was up to me. Idgaf who's daughter he knocks up.

Ochinko may be bad but Gibbs was supposedly worse

I'm just drunk enough to tell y'all what actually happened to Canny. So not only was this guy fricking Lee Begley while she was at MooU (she followed Mullen to UF), but he was going in paid recruiting trips to frick her down there, too. Keep his mind his wife is pregnant during this whole ordeal. But he also was fricking a HUGE MooU donor's donor in Blair Schafer, and "allegedly" knocked her up. In addition to countless other co-ed's. To add the icing on top of the cake, during a MooU baseball game, Canny fricked up a pitching change because he was too busy getting pussy/tit pics from MooU female basketball players, and his own players caught him.

The thing that drives me batshit crazy is the constant hacking at the first pitch the hitters see. One day we will look back and wish we could’ve seen Watson at the plate more. It’s like he’s bound and fricking determined to see one pitch. Why he was back at lead-off tonight, I will never know.

Yeah, sounds like exactly the kind of guy we need to hire back just to teach the same approach the coach before him and the two after him teach (Mainieri’s).

Canny is a hell of a hitting coach and recruiter, and considering he won't be getting a nod as a head coach again any time soon, I'd definitely bring him back on, and right now you could land him on a budget deal.

You should apply. I'm sure you know more from your American Legion days.

I don’t see CPM letting his pride bring Canny back for any reason. I could be dead wrong, but CPM seems to be just as if not more hard headed than CLM.

You're completely right. CPM was pissed at Canny for leaving in the 11th hour for MooU, especially since Canny had already told him he was staying. No one really blames him for leaving, but CPM isn't one to swallow his pride nonetheless.

If that's the case, then who was he snaking at LSU? It's not like he got to MSU and suddenly decided he likes screwing everything that moves.

Gibbs will be back from his knee injury.
