I peaked in middle school football and know that wearing a football helmet with a full face shield would be almost impossible

J.J. Watt publicly stated he would sit out for the season if he had to wear a full face shield.....others probably feel the same

I really don't understand why players would feel this way if it presented a matter of playing or not playing. From the videos I've seen where they've tested this shield, the players wearing the thing said visibility wasn't affected at all, and the shield didn't fog up like some of the visors do. It's a clear piece of plastic. Really don't get the dissent given the circumstances

Because it restricts breathing and will increase temps inside the helmet. Not that hard to understand

Having to wear a full visor in September would be miserable.

because it’s all bullshite. These players are rubbing all over each other for three hours but you think some face shield will help stop them from catching it?

This is so damn ridiculous! Ok what you gonna do about sweating and players who may be infected sweating on others? This stuff is way out of control!

Because he is a millionaire and does not care what happens to anyone else. Its along the same lines of Paltrow telling us to write a book.

I wear a face shield at times when working in the shop and it is HOT with that thing on.

My guys wear a tyvek suit, full face respirator, harness, gloves, and a hardhat and climb up 40' on a scaffold inside a heater to go chip refractory overhead with jack hammers in this temperature. This is before covid.

He can wear a full face visor.

So if he's a millionaire and the lost wages don't matter why do so many players squabble about getting every last nickel in negotiations?
