How many of you think Kelly has his guy and is just ironing out details of the contract? I find it interesting that McKinley committed this week. He wanted House gone, but you think he committed without knowing who the new D-Coordinator was???

I think at the very least, McKinley knew there would be changes. the extent of which I think we will see based on how quickly a hire is made.

Yes. Frank was recruiting him. Every reason he mentioned on why he committed to LSU was not about football.

He’d be stupid to fire House and not have his replacement already lined up.

My guess is conversations have been going on for weeks with whoever he plans on bringing in. Kelly strikes me as a guy that wanted to have a general idea of who's going to come in before getting rid of everyone going out.

But as we're learning, nobody knows anything outside of the building. Which is kind of nice.

It should be clear by now how Kelly operates. It seems highly unlikely he’d fire basically the whole defensive staff if he didn’t already have their replacements lined up.

I'd think the early list has to contaain Minter, Blake Baker, Jim Leonhard, Tony Gibson, Bryan Brown and Brad White

Or at the very least, the DC he wants. The new DC might want to bring in his own staff.

It doesn’t work like that. The head coach hires not the DC

I "know" nothing, but have to believe that he goes back to being an analyst.

I could be wrong but I don’t think CBK does much without a plan. And firing all but two defensive coaches is a decision that requires a plan.
