I honestly think that a lot of people overestimated the talent and experience that this team brought to the table

We lost a lot on defense last year

In the secondary alone we lost Claiborne, Brooks, Mathieu, and Brandon Taylor. Then add in Brockers for good measure and you're looking at just an overwhelming amount of talent to replace.

Considering that we had to replace all of those guys on defense, I think that we held up pretty well.

The takeaway from the last three games is miles trusts mett to make plays to win and the WRs are making plays As a result

The 3rd and ten in the 4th throw to OBJ would not have been called before the BAMA game

Correct

And I think that the emergence of Mett should have a lot of people excited about next year

Or I guess we could sit around and complain about how we're only going to win 7 games next year for the next 9 months

Les Miles = 85 wins 20 setbacks. 81 % win pct.

= 5 wins 2 losses in bowl games 71 % win.
Been to postseason all 8 seasons.

Avg > 10 wins per season.

National champ + 2 x SEC champ .

?? What's on your resume ? Les is loyal and fun ! Great man and father to our kids. Les deserves a lifetime contract !

Stop comparing Les' to Nick Saban people. 10 wins every season is HoF criteria. Thanks coach Miles.

I've been following LSU longer than most on this board, I suspect (I'm so ooolllllllddddd).

The most constant observation I have is the LSU fans' tendency to overestimate the talent on the team. As far back as I remember, every LSU has had the talent to win the national championship every year. It's the coach that fricks it up.

Not lose because of bonehead calls by your coach

Don't be so tough on Chavis.

The defense had been playing well untill the last Alabama drive, Old Miss, and Arkansas.

I am a card carrying nega-Tiger and can tell you that Les Miles has taken years off my life.

I was a student at LSU during the Arnsparger/Archer years and got my season tix in Hallman's last year, so the "you don't know" bullshite won't fly for me.

Am I glad to see LSU with 10 wins? Of course.

Am I glad to see LSU stay in the top 10 all season, despite their 2 losses? No doubt.

However, many of the posi-Tiger/sunshine pumpers are demanding that the numbers be the only part of the story, and that's bullshite.

Under Miles, this team has been severely undisciplined: be it penalties, offensive fundamentals (pass catching, clock management), or defensive fundamentals (positioning/tackling). This is COACHING, pure and simple.

Because of the apparent lack of attention in this one area, LSU will either skate by in a win, or will stumble in the most infuriating way. This is also why gametime decision-making is so fubared at times.

If the posi-Tigers want to continue to whistle past this graveyard, have at it. But don't get on your high horse about those LSU fans who expect something more from their team.

So true

It's amazing that we don't have 8 first round draft picks every year with all of this talent

If we were really SEVERELY lacking in all of those departments it would show up in the L column

It DOES show up in the L's and in the close wins against clearly inferior teams.

You're missing the point

You're talking about very fundamental things. If you are severely poor with things like tackling the mediocre teams beat you as well.

If the teams are clearly inferior that means we're doing something right

If we went 0-12 this statement would still prove that you're ridiculous

How can you let things bother you this much

Okay. You're in charge. Quick. Do you fire Miles and, if so, exactly who do you hire. Don't frick around. Answer the question.
