Now that everyone has played at least 4 SEC games, there is a big enough sample size to look at offensive and defensive per SEC game averages.

Georgia = 33.6 scored - 17.6 allowed = +16.0

LSU = 32.4 - 18.0 allowed = +14.4

Alabama = 34.67 - 20.67 = +14.0

Ole Miss = 34 - 26 = +8.0

Tennessee = 23 - 17.6 = +5.4

Missouri = 24.75 - 21.25 = +3.5

Kentucky = 28.83 - 27.33 = +1.5

Texas = 25.5 - 24.5 = +1.0

Florida = 31.8 - 34.8 = -3.0

Kentucky is winning close games (credit to them if they can continue that).

Strength of schedule makes a difference in some cases but that will even out over next 4 to 5 weeks.

There are 5 stronger offenses and 5 or 6 stronger defenses.

Georgia, LSU, and Alabama are strong in both.

LSU and Bama are trending in different directions, though.

Strong is only relative to other teams in the list. Bama is nowhere near as strong on defense as they have been in years past - and they have some injuries like most teams do at this point of season.
