it has zero bearing on this season..

Does it really? See, I actually think it's somewhat illustrative of a certain Head Coach's management of the program, particularly since I also think that it's illustrative of the way he does things that he supposedly doesn't do anymore because he supposedly learned not to do them.

O is like the fricking scorpion in the frog and the scorpion parable. Y'all are telling me to ignore the fact that he's stung in the past and he promises that he won't do it again. I just don't buy it.

Its not that Troy is off limits. But whenever someone starts a thread in August expressing optimism for the season some knuckledragger has to respond with "Troy." Its stupid in that context.

I mean people are questioning O as a head coach and are referencing to his performance last season at helm for LSU

Not stupid to me IMO

As of now we have little evidence that he has changed a whole lot from his Ole Miss days. I hope he can put it together this year, if not it won't last much longer . His body of work so far hasn't been awe inspiring exactly

The same people who knock people for mentioning troy are the one's knocking Jimbo and Herman for losses last year as well but we are suppose to "move on", give me a break.

It's possible to "concentrate on this season" while also recognizing the Troy loss, which occurred less than a year ago, was disastrous and doesn't bode well for the idea that O has magically become a good coach in the 10 years since his Ole Miss shite show.

your best friends bangs your ol lady last year. I think that would be "disastrous" and wouldn't "bode well" for your future with her would it.

You want that constantly brought up and thrown in your face moving forward?

Some of y'all seem to relish wallowing in the past.

I keep hearing about the amount of kickers Miles had on the roster. I didn't realize the number was 18.

Hell, we had more kickers then we did offensive or defensive linemen.

It's no wonder o got steamrolled by Mississippi State and embarrassed by Troy. It all makes sense now.

Uh if I decided to stay with said "ol lady" I would hope my friends would throw it in my face because id be making a huge mistake. What a dog shite analogy.

It was a good analogy once you finished it for him.

How many times have I brought any of this stupid shite up recently?? I'll hang up and wait.

Bet its a lot less than you and the rest of the dumbasses whining about this silly shite...every...single...day.

I still hate Miles for 1/9 but I don't harp on it every other post or jump into every single thread and bleed about it.

check yourself first their dude.

That's only true if you're talking about o.

Les should still be here and O still at ole miss.

After the past 23 months, I'd give my left nut for this to be possible.

Congrats. You’ve officially made the dumbest comparison I’ve ever seen on the The Rant.

I see all the down votes you received, but I agree with you. I'm a die hard LSU fan that is from New Orleans but lives in the gump (I really hate Bama). I'm not saying O is the guy I would have hired, but Tom went to Texas and Jimbo stayed at FSU, then joined Texas A&M. Under the circumstances, Coach O has had two top 10 recruiting classes, is 15-6 overall, with two of those losses coming to Bama and we lost three in two years due to field goal kickers that couldnt make at least 5 field goals within 30 yards. Troy was bad but who is out there that could be a slam dunk hire? The same thing I said with Les Miles... buyout beware

So we couldn’t get the slam dunk hire and settled for half court attempt from a blind cirpple with MD who threw the ball 3 feet.

Yeah those were our only options.

I dunno, do you want an exact number? How do you define "recently"?

What "silly shite"? The fact that we lost to Troy last year? Sorry, but when someone starts a thread and pretends to be utterly mystified about why people are negative about O, do you not expect people to bring up negatives from LAST YEAR? It's not like there are people starting threads about the Troy game every day. It's just something that comes up (and should come up) when discussing one's outlook and feelings on how this O experiment will unfold. It's the offseason for god's sake. Soon we'll have a current season to bitch about

Are there really worse ones than admitting O is cucking us and we are supposed to just be cool with it?

No he hasn't. LSU, literally, just had the worst class in over 15 years.
