Tweet that to Mascona.

Nice find. Couldn't have used a better example.

After watching that, now more sure that it was a fumble. Even more angry at the ref for calling it incomplete on the field because they are worthless pieces of shite (especially after letting the obvious incomplete pass be ruled an "interception" and returned to the endzone earlier in the game)

I dont "tweet". but by all means go and throw that out in the twatterverse and see what sticks. I am sure Moscona will listen to "random internet board poster" and derail his entire narrative about how complaining about the worst LSU officiating since auburn 2006 is a nothingburger.

Wanna be more pissed, go watch the first play on the video. Of course they didn't call Alabama on the batting the ball thing. I bet the SEC never mentioned that in anything regarding missing that call i that game.

Bias, anyone?

A&m player didnt have firm grip like video says. Regadless, it's correctly called a fumble 99.9% of times.

If not, that was the longest transport of a football ever to not have possesion. What was it, 4-5 yards at least?

sure he did. Caught by head and brought to his side. That's possession.

And he was attempting to tuck it in his left arm when he got hit and that's why he fumbled.

Thats not a firm natural grip if a football. But that's besides the point

Do you catch a football with one or two hands naturally ? GTFO.

Once again, tucked is not a criteria for a catch.

Players catch the ball all the time with two hands and never tuck the ball away.

How many times have we seen a long lanky receiver make a catch with his hands and as a defender is closing, switch the ball to their outside hand and then use their inside and to push off the defender and maybe run for an extra few yards before going out of bounds? We see it all the time.

In those scenarios the player never tucks the ball, so is that considered an incomplete pass? No. Of course not.

The criteria is firm control and then a move common to the game. Taking a step up field is certainly considered a move common to the game and the Texas A&M receiver both had firm control and took a step up field.

They got the call wrong on the field and that's understandable because it was a bang-bang play but there's no reason at all that it shouldn't have been reviewed and overturned as a fumble. Especially since LSU gained clear possession before the whistle even blew.

It really wasnt a "bang bang play". It was easy to see at full speed that it was a catch. They need to get the verbage about a 'football move' out of the rule book though as there are to many ways that can be interpreteded and it really means nothing special. Catching and running are 'football moves'
