In addition to Oregon - TCU, Boise, and nebraska would have to lose for a 11-1 LSU team to play AU. Even then, there would be a media push for 1-loss Oregon since LSU wouldn't be conference champs.

So we're basically saying us playing in the NC is minute/non existent. Hopefully we can play in the Sugar Bowl!

I don't think the voters would force an undefeated AU team to beat LSU again even if LSU ended up being the most deserving contender.

The idea of Boise and TCU playing for the NC is shite at this point. We shouldn't reward teams who only play a schedule of two BCS schools a shot at the title.

AU losing to UGA and Bama would be difficult but certainly possible. That is a legit shot.

If UGA loses, it becomes a long shot but no more so than 2007.

what kind of computer rankings is LSU looking at after the Bama win?

I haven't had time to look closely at all this because I was in town for the game. But I would expect around #3 or 4 average behind AU, TCU, and maybe Oregon. North Carolina's win and an improving UF are big helps I think.

I would expect LSU to be maybe #2 after the Arky game if they are 12-1.

I can't imagine LSU being behind anyone other than Auburn and Oregon in the computer polls. I think they are at worse #3 in the computers.

The only way that LSU doesn't finish #1 in the computer polls IMO, is if Auburn stays undefeated. If Auburn loses to Bama, and LSU wins out, I think that LSU will finish ahead of Oregon, TCU, and Boise State in the computer polls. Heck, I think that Auburn might finish ahead of those 3 if they win out after losing to Bama.

This season could end up very interesting if LSU wins out.

1. TCU has been strong in the computers and beating Utah doesn't hurt. I think LSU runs them down by season's end, but not sure about this week.

2. I don't understand Oregon. Their computer ranking was terrible and they beat a mediocre USC team and shot up about 8 spots. Brad Edwards was surprised too.

3. If AU finishes 12-1 I think they just edge out LSU. I mean they play an almost Identical schedule as LSU but they also would have the SECCG to give them a boost.

We catch Boise easily if we finish 12-1. Probably even if we finish 11-1.
