Don't travel. Brent Bankston is as good as they come.I had my right ACL done in 1993 by another surgeon. The guy used the patella tendon as the donor graft. That was the gold standard at that time. He did a solid graft but he broke my patella during the operation. Huge scar, extra pins because of the fracture.
Bankston did my left ACL in 2008. He uses the hamstring tendon. My scar is about an inch long.I had less pain, less muscle atrophy, and better range of motion with the second surgery. The left knee feels great. The right one hurts like hell. Also Bankston is a great guy.
Good luck with the knee!

Dr. James Andrews' daughter is my age at Ole Miss with me and a good friend of my gf. She actually just got engaged. But she hates her father as does the rest of her family. He has mistresses in like 5 cities. He one time sent a new Mercedes to his house that was meant as a present for a girlfriend. His wife beat it to shite with a golf club, but they have not divorced because they are so worried about their public opinion and reputation. Also, FWIW, there are tons of doctors in the country that can do just as good of a job as Dr. Andrews, he just did well with some high profile guys and he started to get all of the big time patients. This is from the mouth of an LSU team doctor.

Andrews didn't. Brady had his surgery done in Utah. The patriots were pissed about it...

Yeah, his oldest daughter was in my classes at OM, but was much nicer than the younger one. The younger one dates one of my frat buddies(I know, ghey). He is cool, but don't know how he puts up with that bitch

Dr. Craig Greene's legit.
I hope you're joking... I'm not gonna bash the guy on the internet but he fricked me up big time when I had to see him because my usual was out of town and this was an emergency.

I'm about to switch my records from Brwon to Sol but there is a medical board in Monroe that has to approve you switching DR. for another surgery if it's been only a year or so. If it's too much hassle I might just skip that crap and set up a appointment in July with Bankston. I'm mooving back to Zachary/BR in July

I'd go to Greene and then his brother for rehab.

Recommend Dr. Greene as well.

I'm glad some people have had good experiences with him but I sure didn't. Ordered 3 incorrect MRI's, still misdiagnosed causing permenant damage.
He sure thinks he's the best though that's for sure..

The surgical specialty clinic on bluebonnet by boutins is where most of them go. Different doctors and specialties. That's where Winder and all of them are. Andrews does very few LSU players. While he is an LSU grad he gives more to Auburn than LSU. He could care less about us.

Bankston and Winder are the main team ortho docs. I am a RN, have worked with the ortho guys for many years. Bankston is a good choice for knees.

They use Bankston's group which works out of the Surgical Specialty Center in BR on Bluebonnet just west of Perkins.
