Dr. Bankston. Hands down. Sure Dr. Andrews would be great but Bankston is in Baton Rouge and will see "normal" people.

Do your PT at BRPT - LAKE with Tyler Lafauci, ex LSU lineman.

Dr. Bryan Griffith is the best knee surgeon in town. He does approx. 400 knee replacements a year! And he was the best knee guy in town long before replacements became so available.

Andrews doesn't do knees

Andrews did my knee. It was 10 years ago though when he was still at Healthsouth. His partner Dugas also is one of the best for knees if you're willing to travel to Birmingham.

Couldn't you still try to get in with Sol? He is the best around, from what all I've heard

If you get any of those guys in the medical group with Bankston you should be fine.

Tyler Lafauci is definitely the guy you want for PT. He was a miracle worker in getting my knee back to where it should be after surgery. Plus he's just a helluva a guy too.

Ferachi

Dr. Ferachi performed 2 different surgeries on me, one of which was major (ruptured achilles - not sure if it was major for him but it definitely was for me). However, he has been on medical leave for almost 2 years and will likely retire instead of resuming work. I have been told that he does make an occasional exception, so if you can get him to do it then I would HIGHLY recommend him. I am fully recuperated from my achilles and never had one ill effect in spite of people telling me that I would never be the same again. He did a fantastic job.

BR ortho group is great
could try Mike Blanchard- he's in the group (w/ greene and Bankston)

Bone and joint clinc of BR is excellent also

Anyone that tells you that Dr "x" is the only one, the greatest , etc is fos.. Both groups are excellent and both have subspecialists if needed.

I'd go to Greene and then his brother for rehab.

I did this a year and a half ago. Dr Bankston and Tyler are both top notch. And my knee is solid.

It seems like the LSU folks and half of the high profile athletes in the country use Dr. James Andrews for this kind of thing. Of course I am sure this does not help you because I think he is located in Alabama.

My cousins son is an intern under Andrews in the Ham......

Like I said John Thomas at BTR Orthopedic Clinic has cut me more than once. But all there are some of the best in BTR.
