Reed/Landry both clutch when we needed clutch. But Beckham helps Landry get open. Reed really didn't have the other receiver to help him create mismatches.

What deep routes? Today was the first game I can remember him running the deep post.

can't wait to see him in the NFL. Hopefully he doesn't end up with some offensively anemic team where he'll fade into nothing like JOSH REED.

In fact, Landry is Jerry Rice, but with even better hands.

Reed was too small and couldn't get separation for the NFL

I think Landry goes before Beckham. Landry seems more durable. But then again we did use the hell outta Beckham. Landry likes to hit and not afraid to get hit.

I think his career is defined by the deep slant routes he ran

Those WR's didn't play in today's NFL against today's DB's.

He's 5'8" and not particularly fast. He has elite hands, instincts and toughness.

Like I said, he'll be a slot type in the mold of Ward in the NFL. That's no insult.

Some of this needs to be tempered by the fact that different WR's have different skill sets so in some cases we're comparing apples-n-oranges.

Likewise and although Landry has OBJ, let's not forget that Davis had Magee, Kinchen, and Moss and Reed had Clayton and Henderson. All had solid compliments,

Josh Reed and Landry are the two best I've seen in my 30 years of watching LSU.

He's 5'10" by my estimation. Probably no taller, but id bet anything he is taller than 5'8" at the combine. Anthing.

I think he'll translate as a great slot WR in the NFL, but even if he doesn't, he has the best hands ever to play at LSU, and the biggest nuts to wear purple and gold at WR

So you're saying the bills were a great offensive team when Reed was there? You don't think he would have prospered in another system?

Just curious

Without a doubt, the Greatest WR in LSU history. He should have been starting opposite of Rueben Randle in 2011.

Reed is a great but Jarvis is just better. Best hands in LSU history.

Jarvis Landry is the GOAT!!!!

Had he not been involved in the small scuffle with JJ and the marine, he'd have the most TDs in LSU history.

I've stood next to him on multiple occasions. He's no bigger than 5'8".

Early doucet had potential. I think he was underutilized IMO

We've been really spoiled by beckham and landry. It sucks to think what we'll do without them. I doubt anyone, expecially a duo, steps up as big as they have anytime soon.

Landry needs to have one hell of a combine. 5'11 possession receivers aren't a premium in the NFL.

Feel free to.

He self-reported 5'11" with shoes on for his rivals, so I don't think 5'8" is out of the question. He's shorter than he appears in pads and very slim.

From hs but still concerns:
quote:

On the Hoof: He is very slight in stature, looking more like a middle infielder and leadoff hitter than one of the best receivers in the country. He is very lean with virtually no body fat.

Needs Improvement: He could improve his speed just a tad, while adding some size and strength. There are some concerns with him creating separation against big, athletic corners.
