Seems to me that if the OL is doing a good job, Myles will be the QB, and if not, Max will have to be called in b/c he has better mobility.
If we cannot provide very good pass protection, Brennen may not see much PT, IMO.

College football teams generally have success when the Oline is older and has a very high number of combined starts. We've got some grown men on the OL this year. Having guys that are 21 and 22 years old with plenty of experience combined with a good scheme will give us success.

I'm going to defend him just as I would Johnson, Finley or Nuss when they are successful.

I really don’t see that. The O-line will be plenty good. But our D-line is going to be special..

Everyone was bowl eligible.
Mississippi state not only won a bowl, they beat a ranked team in their bowl.

And Florida and Ole Miss were just as shitty defenses as the ones Myles face. In fact Miss State was probably the best defense in the 5 games.

Our OL is not suspect. Everyone is back and some quality backups. The OL wasn't even suspect last year.

GET a grip.

Myles will be the starter in 2021 because if he isn't, he will be the second QB after TJ Finley to transfer.

On average Max was sacked just as much as Myles was.

He played quarterback not cornerback
his 3rd down percentage was god awful. Plus the red zone offense was a joke with Myles at the helm

If only LSU had a coaching staff to address issues.

It was terrible with every QB at the helm because E is a terrible red zone playcaller.

Max had 6 TDS in 12 red zone attempts.
Myles had 6 TDs in 11
I think Finley was 7/11 but

If you want more proof, LSU had 31 TDS in 60 attempts in 2018, with Joe fricking Burrow.

3rd down was also bad all season

Max was 5/18 against Ole Miss and only 8/18 against Florida.

It’s not a completely telling stay either.

Look at
Missouri and Florida.

LSU with Brennan went 0/10 in 3rd down.
LSU with Max went 8/18 on third down

But we punted 8 times against Florida and 5 times Vs Missouri.

Meaning despite converting 3rd downs.
More drives stalled with Max against Florida than against Missouri:

What hurt the most against Missouri was the lack of a consistent running game. We should have been able to pound on them when we wanted to and tire that defense out.... but for some reason chose not to.

Not going to be a suspect offensive line... similar to the improvement from 2018 to 2019

Ah, I recall the pundits saying the same thing about that 2019 Championship Offensive Line.

The O/L will do just fine. Plus the Tigahs got double barrel threats at QB. IMO two (2) Joe Burrow level gunslingers in the pocket.

Bring it on!!
