Exactly.
It’s contract-less free agency every year.

Well im a fan as well and LSU makes around 25-50 mil a year just off of football. LSU can throw money with the best of them. It's not like we have a ULM budget or something

I'm not basing my opinion based on the impact to LSU. I think a "level" playing field is good for the game.

But, I think you are ridiculously naive to think LSU is towards the upper echelon when it comes to money available.

LSU needs to jump on this fast and setup a network that would support these guys into getting their name out there to make money. Would be appealing recruiting wise too.

Consider the damage taking a Joe Burrow would have done to the championship team.

Getting their name out there?

This isn't going to actually be about advertising an name value. This will be about boosters paying for play. That's where the real money is for most.

You'll have a handful that are paid for what you are talking about.

It will absolutely kill mid to lower level teams.
You’ll have the same 5-6 teams at the top every year.

It’d absolutely be better for college football to just allow those who want nothing but money to go pro. Basically how baseball is now

It might bring back some opportunities for foundering teams in bigger markets. Teams like USC could stand to benefit.

Probably have 90-0 in conference games eventually, the TV/radio contracts will take a major hit plus merchandise. The margins will be squeezed... all of these new facilities will be a distant memory.

The NCAA will basically have to split into groups and deal with significantly less money overall.

Ability to transfer, refusal to play and no real salary caps will make it unwatchable, in the future.

The NCAA as it existed yesterday is gone. The whole business is going to be in trouble in due course. There really is no way of establishing a good business off of this now.

Except college football can't do anything about that

Louisiana law says the same also prohibits use of school logos, etc. Without consent of the school.

Texas law doesn't allow any player to use school logos etc at all
