He stayed 6 years, given the team an option at QB that wasn't a complete trainwreck.
What a high standard

I wish him nothing but the best. He has certainly had his share of bad luck.

He played a grand total of 4 games in his career.

You say football IQ but if he had such high an IQ as you are implying, he wouldn’t hold the ball so long in the pocket. He’d hit check downs and get the ball out quicker.

That's fair. Part of me thinks that his pocket awareness would've improved with more game action and repeated starts. We'll never know though.

I take no joy in Brenner quitting. I’m just glad Kelly was able to avoid any “waited his turn” bias.

He'll go down as the greatest 3 game starter in the history of LSU. He has already ascended to legendary status. Facts are facts though. He wasn't good enough to beat out two younger players in Jayden and Nuss all the while he was entering his 6th year. If you don't have it in you to beat out the other guys going into your 6th year. It wasn't ever gonna happen. Better for him to retire and be thought of as a what could have been than riding the pine as a 6th year qb.

Good dude, no doubt he will be successful in life.
