I guess they're already starting on it. whatever they're doing, we know one thing for certain: it will never be ready in time.

Hey man, i am an architect. roughly 7 years experience now since graduate school. I just wanted to give you kudos for your design. As you know, architects do not give props very often to others. I think the renderings we all saw on tiger droppings of the ACTUAL proposed work is ^#$&#* awful. just god awful.

i hope it isnt too late for the powers that be at TAF to give it second thought. i would actually be EMBARRASSED of tiger stadium if that design comes to fruition.

anyway, good job

There is something going on on the outside of the SEZ.

I had assumed that they had started the exterior renovations and improvements that had been announced awhile back. Such as the new gates, champions plaza, etc.

Well he mentioned the makeshift fence that has been set up and the removal of the white awning, which is all in the area of where the champions plaza is supposed to be going.

Now as for the work going on inside of the stadium, I don't have any idea what they're doing.

Champions plaza would explain the the white awning and temp fence, but what about outside and inside the south EZ. Also, if you planned on starting renovations, why not start on the sat after thanksgiving. Why wait untill 4 months latter. Im telling you, there isn't a seat anywhere in the south side the stadium. All the chair backs on the field as well as every bleacher in the bowl are gone. They were still removing brackets but the seats are gone. I saw the chair backs in the tunnels/concession area but didn't see any of the bleachers anywhere.

Well evidently they must be changing out the bleachers in the south end. Are the bleachers in the south upper removed too?

Thanks. I put it together pretty quickly. I exported the images straight out of sketchup and touched them up in photoshop. The design still needs a little work but I like it so far...

These two video boards in the SEZ will be larger than the one in the north end zone individually...these are some BIG arse video boards

I really like Mississippi States video board, less ads than Tiger Stadiums.

I realize that the East & West Uppers aren't perfectly aligned even after the East being redone. But, think copying Bama's two kitty-cornered tvs a mistake, and I'm an oversized tv junkie. Just think the lore of Tigerstadium is better served providing more space for fans & noise, with a tv up high stacked on top..

Also, don't like that West Virginia'ed smaller height endzone upper, think it should wrap-around and be of same size of sideline uppers(ala Tenn's tall one open-end horseshoe setup)..

Tigerstadium space should be for noisemakers. Let Bama have the sportsbar-in-stadium mutliple tvs in one endzone, pom-poms, and recycled microphoned sound for that matter..

LSU is about the fans, put as many in it as you can with this addition. Not just add a 5K more(not even getting over 100K), as just to add some suites(even if they are the engine that funds things)..

I'd rather one Texas-sized bigscreen in the North endzone, rather than two that cost fans seats in the South. Bama did their endzone uppers right(PSU & ATM & VT style), it's as accommodating(or more), than their older sidelines.

Yeah but who's going to sit in those empty seats? Seriously? Why add non-revenue seats just for the sake of it when it's doubtful anyone will sit up there outside of one game a year? I would rather a filled TS than one with 110,000 seats, 12,000 of which are vacant each game.

Texas barely even has seating in that endzone so it's not a comparable proposition to TS. And having screens that big, like Jerry World, just makes you watch the screen all game.

According to many that seem to know, TAF and other LSU powers have supposedly a waiting list, and questionnaires that have suggested many non-ticket holding folks would buy season tix, if could get more than singles? I know of some non-holding folks I've talked to that have requested via tix office, and would do such if could amount wanted.

But, I tend to agree with you, as it looks really bad to see empty upper spots for hot day games vs directionals & OOC mid-majors.

Corporate, Bandwagon, and spoiled Golden Era LSU fans, coupled to brutally hot day-game/ranked big-time TV games, in the era of 55 to 100 inch HD tvs, are also factors.

This is often said but the real demand is stadium club and suites. The demand for the other tickets, as evidence by almost every game, isn't there.

I don't intend it necessarily needing be as large at UT's, just that as an option instead of copying Bama and Tenn's renovations to a T..

Having one large enough that if didn't want two kitty-corner tvs, or even one large South, could as an option have one large enough for the whole stadium to view.

I just don't think our stadium looks like theirs, even if these renderings are closely related to what will actually happen.

I disagree. When you're in the north endzone, it's really tough getting a good view of the larger screen. In all honesty though, I do wish we had less ads but I don't really care about big screens.

1. Neyland Stadium's upperdeck is around the whole stadium.

2. Tiger Stadium does not need 110,000 seats, the demand is not there for all 8 home games.

3. The renderings on here are kick arse...Tiger Stadium doesn't need any more seating than this. The South End will be ridiculously loud with this addition.

4. I only hope that LSU will design the expansion exactly like this, but I doubt it. That's why these renderings should be sent in to Alleva...or TAF...or whoever the frick needs to get them.
