My take on the Offense - Meh but too early to tell definitively

QBs

JM - Probably. No one laughed at this prospect more than me. But, I'll admit, he looked better today than I expected. Especially throwing. I will say that we talk about MB not being big. Um, if JM is gonna be dual threat......well. Let's just say he ain't exactly large.

MB - Maybe. Had a couple of the best looking throws today. Also, still looked erratic. (For chrissake, stop running the read option with him!)

LN - Not Yet. He definitely has a big arm. Maybe the biggest of the group. But yeah, he is very raw.

RBs.

CEH and whoever the frick else. I respect Brosette as a LSU player. But he just shouldn't see any touches.

WRs.

Honestly, better than I expected. If someone can throw to them, I think we'll find a couple worth throwing to.

OL.

Always hard to tell. We were missing people. They still are learning the new blocking packages so they missed assignments. Too early to call.

Overall. Not really anything there to get excited about. But, to be fair, it's probably a crack early to pull the fire alarm.

So your take on the offensive players...not so much the offense.

It's tough to evaluate the team when half the starters are on white and half are on purple.

Running back depth looks to be a big concern. I liked what I saw out of Clyde though. I think he'll have a solid year.

Absolutely.

For example. Early, LN threw what really was a pretty friggin perfect pass and our WR who probably ain't gonna see much time just completely alligator armed it.

We're 14 practices in. It's fun to talk about, but there's a bunch more football to be played.

I'm hoping this Tae Provens guy is serviceable. There is just nothing there with Brossette. Fournette? Maybe.

CEH may have to carry it 35 times a game.

It does appear that we are going to be pass first mentality. I'd expect him to get a solid 15 carries or more in most games.

I think he's going to give defensive coordinators headaches.

It’s a fricking joke that these clowns are supposedly running a vanilla offense in order to not give away secrets. Run your fricking offense! Alabama has 100 former head coaches scouting for them do you think it matters? Time to clean house before we lose two more years

Didn't watch the game, but Curry will solve our RB 2 problem no doubt. Brossette is what he has always been, and that is an average back. I'm not trying to hate on him, but he shows absolutely no above average skills.

No love for Provens? I thought he showed LSU caliber speed and quickness. He just needs reps
He was reminiscent of Richard Murphy

It’s going to be the same thing with an even worse qb. That’s the reality of it. Ed O is the head coach, that still needs to set in with some of y’all.

Didn't watch the game, so all I have to go off is his change of pace ability

I think we have a real player in Chris Curry. I wish he was an EE, but I think he will earn some first team reps in the fall and will see playing time in 2018. I think your assessment of the players was pretty spot on.

Unfortunately, Brossette still has not developed into an SEC back.

CEH looked better than I expected, which was nice. Lanard also looked good at times, but he looked good in the Spring game last year too.

Brossette looked awful! Looks like he is in high school. Will never be an SEC CALIBER RB!

Some things never change. Keep your expectations low and hope for the best.
