Players good enough to go pro and make a roster...they don't care...they are staying in the NFL.
Players not good enough to be in the NFL conversation...they get to play college again and make good $$$.
Players good enough to try out for an NFL team but unlikely to make the team get screwed...these guys would have played another year of college for the $$$ if given the choice before they declared.

I’m of the mindset that only this graduating class (2022) deserves a 5th year. After this, the rules against players signing contracts can apply moving forward.
I feel only the programs who didn’t do the immediate planning, and go after these players wanting a 5th year, are the whiners and ones saying “we wouldn’t ever sign current players in professional programs”, when knowing full well, if the shoe was on the other foot, and they DID get the jump on everyone else, they’d be doing the same thing LANE/LSU is doing to retain these players who committed.

If the CFP gets involved they should make a rule that no player with player ruled ineligible by the NCAA is eligible for the playoff.
But they shouldn’t pick and choose between ineligible players.
Otherwise they should not get involved.

This has zero impact on LSU the lawsuit can be extended to the CFP
